It’s incredibly popular to those who wish to catch a view of NYC while having a glass of wine or drink at a bar counter. You would probably have seen this as a recommended destination but was quite disappointed with the availability of spaces at the outdoor area. There are two main crowds here - those for the views only and M Social hotel guests. Bookings in advance highly recommended but you will not be guaranteed an outdoor seat anyways. Members of public can simply access the terrace and occupy the seats anyways. Not that much of a breathtaking view to be honest but worth spending some time if you have that seat facing times square and a drink or two in your hand!

It's located inside the M Social Hotel. The entrance is on 52nd street and it's necessary to take the elevator to get there.

This is one of my fav spots in the area. Perfect to grab a drink after work at night and enjoy a great view, or to spend a nice fun evening with friends.
The service is very good, they always treat me friendly, even when they're super busy.
Sometimes they have Dj or live music on weekends, so the vibe gets lit. I love the environment in there.
The enviroment is also family friendly, my friend's 10 years old kid had a great time playing video games with other kids in the hotel's lobby.
The food is ok for a snack. They don't have many vegetarian options, so i tried the creamy spinach deep, nothing special, probably the other dishes are much better tho.

The prices are standard, remember it's in a touristic area. Tap beer around $10. Glass of wine usually $14 to $18

Bathrooms are 10 of 10, big and clean, with good mirrors and lights for selfies, appreciate that.

I'll keep defenetly going back.

A hidden (hotel-) bar with a great view from the roof terrace; but with relatively expensive drinks.

Hotel bar/restaurant rather than a rooftop bar. There will be better. Don’t bother. Options not great either.

From the food to the service 5 stars all around! Great views outside. The prices are a little high but the food is amazing. The sliders were delicious and the burger was as well. It was full of flavor and cooked to perfection. The mac and cheese was so delicious. The portion sizes were just right. The beer on draft had a good selection with a couple of local beer options in there. Definitely a must try place if you are in the area looking for a refreshement , finger food or a nice dinner.

This is the rooftop bar at the M Social Hotel on W 52nd. Take the elevator to the hotel lobby and walk past the check in. They have a nice view of Times Square without the overpriced coctails and food. If you're seeing a broadway show like Gatsby or Wicked, this place take reservations and can get you in and out quickly. I would let them know since most people tend to linger and enjoy the views. Their light crispy and tender fried calamari, fall off the bones sticky ribs and charcuterie platter are what I have had and can say was delicious on the menu. The coctails were good the times I had it. Definitely worth it for the view alone

Vegetarian options: guacamole salsa and chips
spinach and artichokes dip
classic Mac & cheese
cheese plate
wodfire Margherita pizza
French fries and dessert

We had a wonderful evening. The food is delicious, venue with several rooms, view of Times Square from above, relaxing atmosphere. The cocktail with cinnamon and fig is amazing. The waiter William (if I remember his name correctly) together with the staff prepared a surprise for us with a chessecake and candle for my husband's birthday.

Perfect bar to see the city lights. Went in October and was glad I had a coat and earmuffs on hand but being out in the cold also meant less people which was just as good. Just far enough away from time Square to see everything but not close enough so it was over crowded and packed.

I had an incredible experience at Beast & Butterflies, located atop M Social. I treated myself to a solo lunch date, and it exceeded expectations.

The soothing music and stunning daytime lighting created a relaxed atmosphere.

The Beast Burger was delicious, and the Truffle Fries were absolute perfection! Crispy, flavorful, and addictive - the best truffle fries I've ever had.

Drinks: 3.5/5
I tried the Strawberry Fields drink, which was a bit on the bitter side for my taste. While not my favorite, it wasn't bad either.

Highly recommend trying the truffle fries when you visit!

Will I return? Absolutely!

Wife made a reservation a few days in advance and requested a nice table for my 50th birthday dinner. When we arrived, we were seated right away and they gave us the table closest to the view of Times Sq (the area that had the words "It's a lifestyle" on the window)! The wait staff was friendly and took care of us, the food was great, the views were spectacular and they even comped us the cheesecake for my birthday! Fabulous 1st time experience, would definitely come here again! Thank you for everything!

Waited an hour for a table we had booked a reservation for a month in advance. There was seemingly only two people hosting, waitressing, bussing, etc., and they were not in a hurry to do any of it. Service was the worst I’ve ever had. Never had drink refills or got checked on. Food was subpar, menu was small.

Waited 45 minutes for a table that was reserved for 2 1/2 months. Never coming back.

Overpriced for sure and the music was too loud and the waiter was just rude.

Calamari just very plain we have had better. The burger was very dry and the Caesar salad was not good either. The salmon was delicious. Also you are not allowed to smoke outside but people do and no one at the restaurant do anything about it. So if it bothers you will have to change seats or go inside. The view is nice and the wait staff are good.

Kid-friendliness: Saw many kids looking at the view and some stayed for dinner. Don’t know if their is a kids menu
