Terrible experience. Not right. We had a reservation for 10:00 after a show. We were running late due to an Uber issue. I called Beetle House twice from the Uber and got no answer. We arrived 15 minutes late and I completely understand that our table had been given away, and dinner service did the last seating at 10:00 so we were too late to order a meal. Again, I completely understand and have no issue with that. The four of us decided to sit at the bar and have some cocktails. We spent the rest of our evening there spending lots of money on pricey unique drinks. I was still charged the $60 per head for a no-show fee for the dinner reservation. I was told if I called that would have been waived. I did call. There was no answer. So $240 in just a no-show fee. But we called, we showed up, we spent money and were patrons. I was treated like I lied about calling to notify them that we were running late and I understood if they needed to give the table away, which I thought was a courtesy to the restaurant. So while standing there I called the restaurant again to show that no one answered the phone and sure enough no one did. Still charged 240.

I went to celebrate my sister's birthday here the whole atmosphere was great ,love the performances ,the scene... Now the FOOD was absolutely disgusting I would not go back to eat there ,mind you everyone in our table had something different and said the same, the drinks are on point.. I would definitely go back to just have drinks at the bar ...

I came to New York for this restaurant and was not disappointed. I enjoyed the decor and the food was fantastic. The waitress was a lovely woman. If I'm ever in the city again I will definitely go back.

This restaurant, woah how can I even get started. When me and my mom came across this restaurant online we were absolutely enthralled that this experience existed. While people say this experience may be “mediocre” and “overpriced” it’s worth every cent along the way. The staff are amazing and I felt quite comfortable with the service. I also will be sending my art specifically created for the restaurant. Hope to come again soon! And ps, the Mac and cheese was amazing!!

I went to nettle house this past Saturday night with my son and his family. The food was surprisingly delicious. Each one of us had something different and we all enjoyed what we ordered. We felt very comfortable there. Sort of like you were visiting your strange relatives who you love dearly. The service was excellent. We will be going back.

I went to Beetle House with my son , his wife and their three kids. Ages 16, 10 and 7 years of age. May I say we all agreed that the food was excellent. The service was amazing. They had two actors who were so good. They went around each table and interacted with the customers. There was a magician who did a few tricks. All of us had so much fun. I highly recommend this place to everyone.

They’re dishonest in their billing practices. The waitress held the billing machine up and explained every detail of the bill, except the 18% service fee she added. Then when ready to pay we are automatically shown the tip screen which gives u the option to add a tip like normal but no one ever divulged there was already money added by the waitress. Its shady and dishonest so if you’re going here just keep and eye on that! The food was ok. I thought it was expensive to begin with and the little service fee/tip scam didn’t help.

The waiter put the tip before we paid for the bill. 180$ in tip to be exact and took me 3 times asking to get a receipt.

The food here is surprisingly delicious for a themed restaurant. Just check out their menu and trust that you will want to come here. The service is amazing AND entertaining to boot. The entire staff stays in character as you take in the world of Tim Burton. We came to celebrate a birthday and did the whole cosplay Victorian steam punk thing which delighted the staff. Walking in, you're greeted by Wednesday Adams--and so the dinner show begins! Our server was Mrs. Lovett (from Sweeney Todd) and she was wonderful! She serenaded us with "By The Sea," chatted up our 12 year old and gave her a mini rolling pin--a nod to London'd worst pies. There is a set price of $60 per person over the age of 12 for The Poltergeist Feast. This includes your appetizer, entree, and a dessert. I ordered Boogie's (as in ANBC's Oogie Boogie) Braised Bacon over grits, the Sweeney (as in Sweeney Todd!) Beef complete with a barber's razor on top, and a Willy Wonka Vanilla Sundae. I had to take that dessert home because I didn't have room after my appetizer & entree. I took pictures but it was hard because lighting inside was so dim. The flash just ruins how entertaining the plating is. Reservations are preferable so go to their website and find a group of friends to go with and experience this dinner theater for yourself. Good Times are ahead! Maybe I'll see you there because we're definitely coming back.

If you love a dark lit spot and you love Beetle Juice please come. The performances are great. The staff are funny edgy people

Very underwhelming considering the cost. Decor was ok but not amazing. Food was not on par for the cost. The only ok dish was the steak but that was an additional charge. My daughter got a Shirley temple and thought it was cute until she realized they used a baby carrot to hide the dry ice to make it smoke. She didn't really want a drink with a carrot in it which I totally understand. There was only one pair of performers so if you aren't into only nightmare before Christmas that's too bad. They didn't mention that they automatically added on gratuity and presented me with a tip screen. Also had multiple things on the table to tip the performers. Definitely would not go again. I would have been ok with great food and poor performers or great performers and poor food. But poor food and poor performers and scamming you into double tipping is hard to justify.

Great atmosphere and the characters were great. We had a lot of fun! That said, the food was mediocre at best and they are expensive.
