One the best restaurant experience I have ever had and I am a restaurant manager and have been in food and beverage all. My life.

For me one of the best typically Italien styled restaurants, very reasonable prices for the quality, friendly staff

Food was fabulous (except for the mashed potatoes, so don't get that!). However, as you can see from one of my photos, there was one waiter who was quite arrogant and obviously doesn't think beer should be served in the restaurant and just poured the beer into my dining partner's glass, on both occasions, and left half a glass of head. And then weirdly had to be asked twice to get us the bill. But the rest of the food was great, especially the Tiramisu, and the wine was lovely. My partner said the icecream was very creamy and one of the best he's ever tasted. Lasagne special was great, as was the prawn scampi. Food was so good, we will probably be tempted to go back & just insist Mr Blue shirted waiter isn't ours.

Above average local Italian restaurant. I’ve been here several times at different times of year and always had a good experience. The roast vegetable Napoleon is a good veggie friendly choice. They are able to swap sauces on the pastas in order to accommodate allergies (for example their pesto contains walnuts). The service is consistently friendly and prompt.

Bella Luna used to my UWS catchall, and then it changed. It’s not that the new Bella Luna is bad, it’s just not the same.

6 months ago, I would have described Bella Luna as an all-purpose, community-oriented restaurant; a bit trattoria with a healthy splash of ristorante. Perfect for dates, get togethers, afterschool celebrations, and the like. But their new direction is full on ristorante: they updated their aesthetics, raised their prices, shrunk their portions, and put more effort into their dish presentation.

Essentially, my once coveted eggplant parmesan now costs more, no longer comes with a free side, and is noticeably smaller — but it sure looks pretty on the plate.

The staff at Bella Luna are nice and the presentation is lovely: I'm sure they'll find their new audience, but Bella Luna isn't a fit for me or my family anymore.

On a side note, I enjoyed what I sampled from my friend's dishes, which included the newly added roasted vegetable napoleon. However, I did not enjoy the new eggplant parmesan. It was textureless and lacked flavor.

The absolute best truffle fries we have ever had. Very beautiful place with one of the most genuinely hospitable staffs from host to GM. Oh and the pistachio gelato and the tiramisu were fantastic. And the cappuccino was amazing, OK I could continue to go on. Obviously, the pizza was incredible. OK, I’ll stop now but really one of the best places in the city. Music was perfect for the day we were having AND they opened early just for us ha really could go on & on about their kindness. A neighborhood gem!!!

We randomly came upon this place right before they were opened and they opened early for us to be able to come in. Food amazing, drinks amazing, and best tiramisu I’ve ever had. Amazing staff so helpful and kind and overall wonderful people and wonderful environment.

We walked up about 30mins before they opened just looking for coffee. Before we walked away they stopped us and invited us in early. We were served the best food ever! Seriously the best tiramisu I have ever had. After eating they told us their cooks weren’t even here yet! I can’t imagine how it could be even better with the cooks! Seriously the best!

Unfortunately they changed the preparation of and recipe of the eggplant parmesan. It used to be properly cooked and seasoned and served hot with a side of spaghetti or julienned squash. The side selection doesn't come with it anymore and they drown uncooked eggplant parm into a very oily sauce. The eggplant was not heated through, tasted flavorless and frozen. I used to come here just for eggplant parmesan! Very disappointing dish now. I loved the previous version, especially with the julienned zucchini and yellow squash. I could not eat it and will not return for eggplant parm.
