Just get the beef birria tacos, thank me later. Extremely juicy and packed with flavor. Need to try the rest of the items out but became a fan of there beef birria tacos. Got a grilled cheese birria beef
sandwich. They don’t go cheap on the meat. Wish i tasted more bread but still amazing. Halal and birria = perfectionnnnn

No frills, hearty, tasty tacos. Fully halal too! It was bustling at 3pm on a Tuesday and after tasting the food, I’m not surprised.

Food is not Mexican,it’s halal. Muslim owned, sadly nowhere near the caliber of real Mexican food. They should stick to what they perfect. Next thing they gonna start making is Chinese food.

I was visiting from Toronto, Canada and kept hearing great things about Birria Les, so I decided to stop by. This place serves some of the best halal birria I have ever had. As soon as I walked in, the smell coming from the kitchen told me the food was going to be good. The staff were friendly and quick, and you can tell they put real care into the food.
I ordered the birria tacos with consome and they were incredible. The tortillas were crisp, the beef was tender and full of flavor, and the broth had a rich taste that made every bite better. The portions were generous and everything tasted fresh and well made. I also tried the quesabirria and it had the perfect mix of cheese, beef, and crunch.
The space has a real New York vibe. It is small, energetic, and focused on serving quality food. You can see the kitchen right in front which adds to the experience. The location on Rivington Street is great for grabbing a quick bite that still feels special.
If you are looking for delicious halal birria in the Lower East Side, this spot should be at the top of your list. I will definitely come back the next time I am in New York.

Beware if take out the consommé and its plastic lined paper container. Took mine back home and found the lid had separated from the edges used to hold itself closed. Two pieces of circular paper/plastic floating in the consommé. Good thing I kept it fairly level. Best to eat in store.

Great food. Fresh and tasty. Reasonably priced for NYC. Very limited seating. So be prepared to either eat standing or to go.

This is a fast, easy local taco joint, the tostadas dripping grease filled with flavor. I will definitely be back to try more of the menu.

This is the top 3 places we visited while
In NYC. Finding halal food can be a challenge for people coming from London- I thought halal birria was out of the question. Such a gem , the lady working from tills was kind and informative. The food was delicious and so yummy, 2 years on and I still think about it . Went there twice (we stayed in diamond district and still travelled to eat here) consome so lush and rich , birria was perfect !

I ordered birria tacos at 1:00AM and these were probably some of the best tacos I’ve ever had. Service was fairly quick and efficient. Would absolutely go again.

Super yummy food. Though on the spicier side.
Very limited seating/standing area. Reasonably fast service though. Great quality of food and ingredients used. Superb taste.
