Exquisite French food. The restaurant is simple, but yet elegant. Great delivery service for this crazy time that we are going through. The food has an amazing flavor that you rarely find anywhere else. You eat at home, but you feel you are in a French restaurant.

This is doubtless one of the coolest place to eat in the region. Always when I come to this place I am exceedingly pleased. They keep their high standard service and the topmost level of food they offer. You always win with this restaurant. Highly recommended.

I went with a friend who lives in the Upper West Side, but had never ventured into Cassis. We were there for "brunch," but don't expect millennial brunch scene if that's what you're looking for. We ordered two appetizers each, plus crepes. My favorite thing I had was the French onion soup. The croissant and jelly that came out first was also delicious. I'd pop back in for the soup on a cold day, for sure!

What a beautiful and cozy restaurant this was. Had made a reservation for 2 on a Saturday afternoon and enjoyed every minute of it. Ordered the Onglet Frites and it was really delicious. Special thanks to the manager, Manny, as well as our server, Carmen. I will most certainly be returning!

I was a solo woman dining last Sunday evening at Bistro Cassis and it was an experience I would not like to repeat. I rarely dine at restaurants alone and was looking forward to my meal after a concert at Lincoln Center. (I had a hankering for French Onion Soup and had picked this restaurant after some research, which indicated they had among the best versions in the neighborhood.) Unfortunately, the service at Bistro Cassis left me soured on the evening and the food was not much better. Too bad. Whether I'm dining alone or with others, I won't be returning to Bistro Cassis. Immediately after being seated, my (male) server asked whether I wanted anything from the bar. Whether it was my response (indicating that I would not be drinking alcohol) or something else, his indifference to me was noticeable from that point on. I ordered salad and soup. The food was mediocre - not awful, but also not stellar. It took a while to get a piece of bread and my salad. After finishing my salad, I sat for a considerable period with no food, as my server passed by numerous times and didn't seem to notice me or my lack of food. Finally a woman server came over and inquired what I had ordered. Although she did not seem assigned to my table, her attention was the one bright spot in the service. She roused my server, who came by, muttered something about the kitchen being busy, and walked away. I waited again, until he brought my soup. After I finished, he gave me a dessert menu, but didn't come back to check on me for a rather long while. The only time he paid attention to me was when he brought the bill - then he stood over me as I put my credit card into the folder. Interestingly, the manager (or owner?) was around during this time, paying considerable attention to other tables - particularly a family dining next to me - but he also did not seem to notice or care about me or my meal.

??I had the worse experience ever in that place. I went to have lunch with my friend and our toddlers. When I got there my friend wasn’t arrive yet and my child start cry because she was excited to see them. We just came from a 30 days trip so she was missing them and instead somebody come to try to help me if I need something maybe water for her or what they asked to step out. I couldn’t stay there because my child was crying. My friend was coming with her stroller and that horrible man went out to tell her we weren’t welcome there and we had leave. It never happened to me before and I was chocked . Look likes they never were child or had one.??

This is definitely an older crowd, but there's a good energy about the place anyway. We've been twice, sat in the back both times (my preference, not too crowded). The french onion soup and duck tacos are great. The steak frites and lamb special were pretty good. The "pommes frites" and spinach was super boring, which was disappointing. The profiteroles were flat out awful. They were hard as a rock, felt like they were made a week ago and then just spooned ice cream on them that night. We would return but think carefully about what to order.

Wonderful place. Food was excellent and service was great. We walked in and they prepared a table for 10 people on the spot. We got marinara mussels to share, sandwiches, croque monsieur... everyting was just perfect, and personnel had always a smile on and provided an oustanding service. Very recommendable place for brunch, lunc or dinner on the West side!
