This is my favorite neighborhood haunt. I almost don't want to say more because I love the easygoing, no reservations kind of vibe. But it's a special atmosphere with very consistent, simple French food.

One of my favorite bistros in the city. The newly added french onion soup is classic yet excellent, the coin-coin confit rivals Balthazar's duck confit (the only two duck dishes I enjoy), the mussels' creamy broth is intoxicating, the pork medallion filet minion is delicious and the atmosphere, whether inside or out, is inviting and comfy. Now, although what cocktails they have are good, adding a few more craft cocktails wouldn't hurt. Most importantly, the food is classic and consistent! Every time I get the same thing it's exactly how I remember it. That's worth the 5 star review by itself.

Best Mussels (and frites) in the city. Coin coin (duck) never disappoints and their steak is perfect. Hard to beat Les Enfants in food, chill vibe and location. Spicy Gringo is yummy for cocktails.
If you come here for brunch, their Croque Madam is my favorite. (Chef’s kiss)

Refused service animals
To the owner.
Your staff refused the aminal period.
That was not the 1st time refused the Service Animal.
Your staff didn't ask questions, and the restaurant excuse was that either himself or the cook are allergic to Animal.
Even we told him that the dog is a service animal
I remember that evening the restaurant had a few empty tables.
Anyway, more likely, my guest and I are probably not coming back, and I not recommended anyone to eat at your restaurant if they are tourist, pets , or especially the people with special needs
Next visit, it happens again either myself or other Service Animal owners.
Either myself or others who were rejected will be reported

Food (steak, caesar salad, nova appetizer on bread) were generous in size but very unsatisfying. The steak was chewy and tasteless. Even the fries were disappointing. The waitress was slow to deliver things and forgetful. I would not recommend this place.

It's a nice little French restaurant not too far away from Pier 36. I had the steak and eggs plate with the roasted potatoes. My lady friend had the Salad de Jardin. The food was delicious, the service was good, and the atmosphere was cozy but vibrant at the same time. I would definitely visit again to get a delicious breakfast. The one ding that I would give them is that the menu was limited. It being in NYC, of course, parking was limited.
