Love love love Black Star. It has my favorite chai latte on the UES, and their breakfast food is stellar. The sriracha, egg, and cheese sandwich is a favorite, as is the breakfast burrito. They’ve also recently redone their back patio, upgrading the furniture and offering more and better seating. It’s a perfect spot for a quick outdoor breakfast or lunch.
I ordered an iced strawberry matcha but when I received it it was almost warm! the matcha wasn’t strong enough to mask the almond milk taste either. I was so disappointed :( I traveled all the way from Atlanta, Georgia to order from from this cafe but now I know the truth.
