After working up an appetite from a visit to an art exhibit showcasing art therapy, (shout out to the art therapists!!!! INCREDIBLE WORk!!!) my girlfriend and I were looking for that perfect place to eat, imbibe and enjoy some good music without having to scream at each other the entire time. This turned out to be quite the feat. After wandering around, we stumbled upon this hidden gem.
Initially, it was a bit empty but as time wore on, it began to fill up.
So much to say about this place. We were greeted by a very attractive bartender-KILLER SMILE. Immediately, I discovered they had no drink menu but the bartender promised me he could make a margarita that wouldn’t disappoint. He didn’t lie either. It was so strong, I couldn’t drink it. By the way, don’t ask for the house margarita unless, you can really throw down with your alcohol. I consider myself a CHAMP but I was quickly proven a CHUMP. I had to settle for a cold Corona instead. The bartender, Sebastian but I call him Seb-bast-Eon (has a sexiness to it to match his good looks and personality) was quick and kind about letting the Margarita mess go and just charged me for the beer. My friend and I chose the nachos. I am always one to keep it real. They were nothing to write home and tell mama about BUT they satisfied our hunger.
Keeping up with a conversation was almost impossible for me because the music was PUMPING. Almost every time that played, I couldn’t help but sing along. I’m talking about the classics-The Chili Peppers, Nickelback, Alanis Morissette…just to name a few. The music was definitely a lot of good old 90’s and 2000’s throw backs.
Aesthetically speaking, words will do little to no justice in trying to describe it. For one, the place is ginormous! They are not in lack of seating, that’s for sure. The dark wood, exposed brick and ceiling tiles give you a vibe.
This place is definitely a magnet for tourists and locals. Very diverse patrons. My friend and met several Australians, a Brit and a Scott-my favorite accent.
This is the type of place you’d have to see for yourself. Highly recommend checking it out after work or if you’re in the neighborhood and just want to chill-a perfect place. Be sure to ask for Sebastian. He will get you right and just enjoy the vibe.

It's a normal neighborhood Irish pub. Food and drink options are what you'd expect.
VERY poor service. Like, everyone at the bar is discussing with each other where the staff went. People at tables coming up to the bar and asking others how they order. Yikes.
We ordered food (fish & chips), waited 40 minutes, then gave up. Spent another 15 minutes trying to find somebody to close out our 2 drink tab.
There are so many other places to go, skip this one.

Vanessa and Sebastian are fantastic! They make Blaggards the best bar in midtown.

I am from our of town and enjoy trying different places when I visit. Service was kind of slow and the tables could've been cleaner, but they seemed understaffed for a busy Saturday night. There were two servers/ bartenders working and they kept moving the whole time, were very friendly, and did their absolute best to take care of everyone. I like that they offer black and tans and they got the layers right, many places do not. I had the fish and chips and was very happy with it. The fries tasted hand cut and had a great potato flavor, the server also brought out vinegar without me asking, and the fish was a generous portion in an authentic batter. Sometimes I don't like the batter on fried fish, blaggards got it on point.

Just nipped in for a drink, ended up staying for a few as service and atmosphere was exceptional. Music is also top notch. Highly recommend. Service from Evan was a credit to the establishment.

Ordered a cosmo and it came out red, blood red, was all sugar one of the worst I have ever had. My girlfriend got a mule and it was all lime juice $30 in drinks and we didn’t even bother finishing them. The buffalo chicken personal pizza was absolutely trash. The Caesar salad was decent, the croutons were gross. Bar tender was very personable but we will never return to this business.

It is one of the rare places in New York where you can smoke in its garden… it has a very pleasant atmosphere. Must try…

Food is so bland that I put salt on the burger and I rarely put salt on anything. The servers were more interested in talking to regulars than serving. The place has a good Irish Pub vibe but is definitely not what it is. Do not waste your time, money, or calorie intake. Maybe it's great if you are a regular. The soccer game broadcast was in Spanish....at an Irish Pub? Seriously? A Mexican bar without Mexican food. Not good at all. Zero chance I would recommend this place to anyone at anytime.
