lovely atmosphere and baristas. but my latte wasn't great: way too much milk so i couldn't taste the espresso, also really really sweet. it's sad because the flavor of my vanilla syrup and what i could taste of the espresso were actually really good, but the proportions were all wrong.

I can’t say enough how much I love this place. I’m from out of town, and there hasn’t been a single Blank Street location that has disappointed, especially this one at Madison Ave, as I came twice in the same weekend! The Blueberry matcha is my absolute favorite, and it was such a pleasure to visit. The service was excellent and my drink was delicious every time. 10/10!

I’ve stopped by a few times there’s a barista not sure if she is from PR but she’s very condescending.As a customer I’m here for a service not for a favor.

My day does not start until I get coffee from this particular branch. Not only do you walk in and get greeted but the atmosphere is always unmatched. I work around the area and honestly consider traveling an hour and a half just to visit this branch for the team (food and coffee are just an added bonus).
Ana and a few others are truly the reason why I will turn my head to other Blank Street locations. Ana started recommending drinks to me and now can probably tell ME if I’m going to like a new drink they have - I’ll trust her.
Anyway, I’m here almost everyday and the smiles and greetings from the team, the coffee, Ana are the reason why I will be on the West Side and wait to travel back to the East just to order whatever I’m craving that day.

Came here for a drink, the people were lovely, the young girl at the cashier and the barista were really helpful, I didn't get to ask their name, but the cashier was brown had lashes, and the barista was a short big eyed, unfortunately for them they had a terrible experience with some woman, I saw everything
there was another girl in the back who came and helped them
the woman was yelling insanely, I overheard her telling the girls im gonna get what I want simply because they were following protocols, I was sitting down when it was happening and the woman demanded to get her coffee with extra vanilla and the girls told her they couldnt do it due to policy and the woman got insanely mad, she was disrespectful since the beginning yelling at all 3 of them, they apologized and offered other substitutes for the woman but she was very disrespectful
good job to these girls for maintaining calm, not everyone can do it! Would definitely recommend this place

To the café management,
I’ve been a loyal customer of your café for the past two years, visiting regularly — at least four times a week — to order the same drink: a small iced coffee with 4 pumps of vanilla, just the way I like it, sweet.
Today, however, I had a very disappointing and frankly upsetting experience that I feel compelled to share — especially since I’ve seen this café lose its warm, competent atmosphere over time.
This morning, I was served by a new employee I had never seen before. She was rude, tactless, and dismissive. When I placed my usual order, she told me, without any courtesy, that “it’s against policy to put 4 pumps of vanilla.” I asked politely when this policy had changed — since I had just ordered the same drink yesterday, and have been ordering it the same way for years. She didn’t explain, didn’t apologize, and simply repeated that “it’s the policy,” with a condescending attitude.
What made it worse is that a long-time staff member, someone I’ve seen many times, came out and backed her up. Sadly, this particular employee has never been helpful or welcoming in the past either — and even seems to struggle with making coffee properly. I truly don’t understand why they are still representing your café.
So I’m asking:
When exactly did this policy change? Was it this morning?
As a long-time, consistent customer, I’m truly disappointed. It’s sad to see how disrespectful and unprofessional staff can slowly drive loyal clients away. All this fuss over one extra pump of vanilla? Truly shameful.
My request to the management:
Please reconsider the staff you hire. A business that tolerates rudeness and incompetence — especially towards regulars — will lose its reputation one customer at a time.

Even though they are supposed to be open until 5:00 PM, their door was locked at 4:10 PM on July 2, 2025, and the employee inside ignored us as we tried to enter, pretending we didn’t exist.
I ordered the blueberry matcha- the barista asked me if I had a milk preference and I told her no and usually that means whole milk. It was made with oat milk which isn’t my favorite so I asked them to remake it. They were rude and made it in 20 seconds by pouring milk up to the top of the cup and gave me some shitty remade drink. Don’t even taste blueberry.
I myself prefer Starbucks since it’s an environment i’m familiar with but I can say I had ZERO issues with being brought here and it may be replacing my Starbucks from time to time. Great, professional, friendly staff and such a nice peaceful atmosphere. Oh and loveeeee Mariah, she’s very patient with indecisive people lol

Update your hours. Google says they close at 5pm. Their door says they close at 4pm. I’m here at 3pm and they aren’t open.

This is the 3rd time I have come to this location at 4:25-4:30pm and the store is closed with the lights off even thought it says you guys are open until 5pm. Iunderstand you guys are trying to close up and leave on time but it is frustrating when the app is also misleading. The app says in store orders only and then you go in person and the person is saying we’re closed. Please change your hours of operation on google or the app to close earlier so this doesnt happen to other customers..

The service in here is terrible. I walked in and there was no line so I was able to immediately order at the register. I counted 6 people that came in and ordered at the register after me that got their drinks BEFORE me. On top of that they fulfilled a bunch of online orders before mine as well. Would not recommend this location. At all.
You are understaffed for the morning rush. Your staff works very hard but there just ant enough people.

The service is not good, the iced latte tastes just like milk and the flat white tastes is like a cappuccino. We told the girls the drinks are not good and you don’t taste the coffee and they charge more to fix it. The place is also very crowded, we waited long for our drinks while another person comes, has the same order and his drink is right away. Honestly don’t recommend and wouldn’t come back.

As other reviewers have said, baristas here give you so much sass and attitude as if you ordering from them (which is literally their job) is a crime. I get the sass and attitude everytime I come in which is unfortunate bc I actually like the drinks. Skip this location unless you want to be served your drink with a side of attitude and sass.
(If you’re wondering which one it’s the short Hispanic girl usually at the cash register, I’ll be sure to get her name next time ☺️)
