Coming from Australia, this was the first place to genuinely impress us. Most coffee places in America fall very short but this was amazing. They take pride in what they do and it shows.
I've loved coming to Blue Bottle for ages, the coffee and service were excellent. But, this is the third location and service unfortunately has gone downhill... I asked twice that I wanted my coffee to stay, and they've prepared it on paper cups! When I complained, they just poured it on the glassware... I regret tipping when I pre-paid for it. In the "good old days", they would have prepared a new cup...
The place is really nice, it is located inside a shopping center. I ordered a cappuccino. Coffee just doesn't taste like anything. It doesn't taste like coffee. It's just like having a hot drink. Everything is very industrialized. The price a little expensive. The attention was new but I would not return.
