Overall was very disappointed at this restaurant that just got a Michelin one star this year. I tried really hard convincing myself that it’s got to be good at something to deserve a star, but the truth is there is nothing. Food was not impressive, no fancy ingredients (since it’s $145 per person) and some dishes were just way too salty. Ambience is alright but the service SUCKS. We got there on time for our reservation and no one attended us. The host was MIA (apparently hanging coats for some other guests and not to mention we were never offered the coat checking service lol). A bunch of waiters and waitresses running around the place and no one stopped to say the host will be with you in a minute. Anyways, 0/10 recommend especially if you are a minority - chances are you are going to get treated differently.

We let them know ahead of time one member of our party couldn’t have seafood and menu accommodation was made. Every bit delicious. Couldn’t finish it all!

This restaurant is built on a philosophy I want to applaud. Vegetable-forward dishes. Farm to table freshness. Clear expressions of flavour in each dish. And it works. This is fine dining that also puts you at ease as a customer. Service is polite, prompt, but never overbearing. The dishes like being reintroduced to old friends. Familiar flavours that are so much more alive than you expect. Delightful.

They are have michelin green star because dishes made with carefully selected ingredients.
There are only chef’s recommended specials.

I don’t know about other people but I like it because All dishes have high acidity.

Blue Hill is simply exceptional. Nestled in the heart of Greenwich Village, it’s more than a restaurant—it’s a transformative experience in sustainable, seasonal dining. The commitment to farm-to-table is deeply rooted here, with much of the produce coming directly from the iconic Stone Barns Center in the Hudson Valley. The menu is constantly evolving to reflect the very best of what's fresh and available, and every dish tells a story of dedication to flavor, quality, and ecological harmony.

The tasting menu at Blue Hill is an adventure, a seamless journey of courses that build and complement one another in unexpected ways. Chef Dan Barber's creative touch is nothing short of genius, taking simple, humble ingredients and elevating them into unforgettable dishes. The flavors are clean and vibrant, layered with intricate textures that surprise and delight with each bite.

Service here is flawless. The staff is not only knowledgeable about the menu but truly passionate about the philosophy of the restaurant. They make you feel like you’re part of the Blue Hill family, offering an unpretentious yet thoroughly sophisticated dining experience.

Every detail is thoughtfully curated—from the elegant yet rustic décor to the way each dish is presented with artful precision. Blue Hill has set a new standard for what fine dining can and should be, making it a culinary destination not to be missed. It’s not just a meal; it’s an immersion into the possibilities of taste and the beauty of sustainable, locally-driven cuisine.

The food was good but nothing impressive/special. We did the wine pairing which was a huge mistake, it didn't go with the food at all. Honestly we should have known the wine pairing wouldn't be good since the chef changes the menu each day based on what's fresh (hence it'd be difficult to get the most optimal pairing). The servers also didn't know anything about the wine.

Overall, the food is fine but not good enough/unique enough to justify the price.

My wife and I capped our wedding weekend with dinner at Family Meal(Blue Hill). The staff went above and beyond to detail each course as well as provide context on certain dishes. We added the wine progression which was picked to perfection. They say it is a 4 course meal, but it really is closer to 4.5-5 courses. Plenty of food and we were stuffed by dessert time. All in all well worth the price tag and we will certainly be coming back.

I’ve been waiting years to dine here. Came here and treated myself to a belated birthday dinner. NA wine options were perfect, loved the seafood crudos, lobster corn chowder, and salad. Staff was very good, food was exceptional. Met a super nice Australian couple to chat with towards the end. Very nice experience.

Good restaurant with original dishes. Single set dinner menue, so just let yourself travel with the Chef. Nice diversified wine list, but rather expensive, though there is wine pairing available. Cosy, with noise level at an enjoyable lower range. Overall a great place to enjoy a new experience.

Wheelchair accessibility: Stairs to get down to it… so i do not think it’s wheelchair accessible

Best dinner ever. Amazing food, gorgeous wine options. The chef makes magic with the ingredients available. Lovely service as well. Definitely a place to repeat.

We enjoyed our dinner. Ambience and staff were great. Some of the dishes were on the saltier side and the night was maybe a bit too heavy on the tomato ingredients, so the first few dishes all kinda tasted similar.
