The dry-aged steak was delicious. I also got the Cesar salad and the dressing is fresh and they serve it with anchovies if you wish. Last time I was here was before the pandemic and they have not missed a beat in terms of quality.
This is by far the best restaurant in the city. Celebrated my birthdays at the restaurant the past 3 years. Amazing service and food. Workers and manager are very accommodating and welcoming. Highly recommend this restaurant!
Old school steakhouse. Great service great food - restaurant could use some updating (doesn't stop us from going!)
Always Always a great experience! The hosts are always courteous and accommodating. The service is excellent and the steaks and sushi are always on point. Shaber is the best .Attentive but gives enough space. Super friendly and space the course perfectly. Best in class.
Aceptaron reservación a última hora pero realmente el restaurante estaba solo, la mesera súper linda siempre y atenta nos hacía recomendaciones del menú, creo que es precio alto y realmente la comida no es tan buena
Had a wonderdul dinner with shabir .He was super knowledgeable and kind. The food was amazing but shabir made the experience a million times more enjoyable.we will most definitely be back when we we're in town.!!
Service was fantastic! Food was a little lackluster. Sweet chili calamari was excellent. Dry age ribeye was just okay. Not in the category of better ones I've had. Petite filet similarly bland. Sides were very good

Long time customer, food still outstanding , steak was perfectly done , sides all great. However the young woman working out front was very inexperienced. She was very nice , but needs to learn to write down everything each customer says . She tried to do it from memory the first time around and that was a mistake with 5 of us ordering main courses/salads/sides. She was nice/very attentive / apologetic, so it was fine.
This place is a hidden gem!
Stepping into Bobby Vans 54th st in New York City, you immediately sense that you’re in for a special evening. Nestled in the heart of Manhattan, this establishment seamlessly combines classic elegance with modern sophistication, creating an ambiance that is both welcoming and luxurious.
From the moment you are greeted by Dan , the GM, it’s clear that service is a top priority here. The waitstaff is knowledgeable, friendly, and eager to make recommendations, ensuring that every aspect of your dining experience is exceptional.
The menu is a dream come true for both carnivore and omnivore alike . Featuring a selection of prime cuts that are expertly prepared, each steak is cooked to perfection, boasting a rich, buttery texture and a flavor that is unparalleled. The bone-in ribeye, in particular, stands out—succulent, perfectly marbled, and grilled to a flawless medium-rare.
But it’s not just the steaks that shine. The sides are equally impressive. The truffle mac and cheese is decadently creamy, with just the right amount of earthy truffle essence. The sautéed spinach, seasoned to perfection, provides a delightful balance to the richness of the main courses.
The wine list is extensive, offering a variety of options to complement every dish. The sommelier’s suggestions are spot on, enhancing the flavors of the meal and elevating the overall dining experience.
Dessert at Bobby Van’s is a must. The key lime pie with its sweet decadence , is a perfect ending to the meal. Paired with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream, it’s a symphony of textures and flavors that leaves you wanting more.
