Bobby Van's 54th street is unlike the other locations in the city. The staff, from the manager on down, go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The food is excellent, and the menu is more varied than you normally find at a steakhouse. There's something for everyone.

Genuinely one of the worst steaks I've ever had in my life and absurdly priced especially for how inedible it was. Waiter also checked in way too often and had an off putting vibe. I don't know how you can mess up steak that bad.

From the moment we walked in,the hostess and manager welcome us warmly,the restaurant is beautiful and feel truly old school steakhouse ,we started with chilled seafood tower and Apple wood smoked bacon both were excellent.for our entrees we had bone in ribeye porterhouse steak and Chilean sea bass and each dish was outstanding.dessert after dinner drink and cappuccino were equally impressive.our server shabir was friendly extremely knowledgeable and attentive'And never made us feel rushed.A fantastic dining experience-we will definitely be returning.thank you shabir....

Had a really nice meal but as we walked in the hostess was super cold. We said, "Hi, how are you?" and were responded to with "Reservation?" We were not offered coat check and just told to stand in the bar area to wait. Wasn't the best start to our Christmas Eve dinner, where we were sitting on our coats.

Started bad and kept going. Showed for our reservation time. Hostess was in disarray. We were acknowledged and that's it. People came and were greeted like old friends, sat and served drinks or brought drinks by the manager as they waited as well. We finally sat 30 min late. Manager was kind enough to buy our first drinks. Service was good but holy cow it was LOUD. Food was not the best. Wife's filet was over cooked. My bone in ribeye tasted stale if tha can be a thing with steak. Needed seasoning like there was no salt on it. Brussels were good. For my $$ I'd go to Delmonicos again. Food was better and seating was prompt and you can actually had a conversation. Won't visit here again. It's sad because since my childhood Bobby Vans had been a thing and I finally wanted to try it.

Food was absolutely delicious. Our waiter was very attentive. We ordered for appetizer the thick cut bacon. It was so good. My husband ordered the ribeye with truffle mashed potatoes. I had the scallops with I believe parmesan mashed potatoes. Everything was cooked to perfection. For dessert we had the best chocolate cake I've ever eaten. Also had a cappuccino and regular coffee. Best coffee and cappuccino I've ever had.
