Business lunch was the purpose of visit. Guests impressed overall. Portions are crazy large but food was really nice - simple, clean flavors. Highlighting the proteins - we had a bit of all; salmon/sea bass, streak, some Cesar salad and fried calamari for the table. Split a creme brulee for desert as all were nicely full after great meals. Staff was stellar. My colleague and I needed to ‘hang around' a bit after lunch to troubleshoot his phone. Staff graciously allowed same at our table so we could avoid noisy-ish bar area. Very kind. thank you Bobby Vans - thoroughly enjoyed our lunch.
Bobby Vans "The Original on Park" has become an integral part of our Manhattan adventures. We leave each time already looking forward to our next visit. If you're looking for a restaurant that delivers consistently excellent food and impeccable service in a welcoming atmosphere, look no further. This is a true gem! What truly elevates the Bobby Vans experience is the service. It's not just efficient; it's perfect – attentive without being intrusive, and always delivered with a genuine desire to ensure a wonderful dining experience.
Always like going there and it's never a disappointment. This time the 'medium rare' was much closer to rare; wasn't quite medium rare. Salad, sides and glass of wine are very high.
Outstanding service m, great meal as always (perfect steak for two), well priced and well appointed wine list
Incredible USDA steak, large portions (way more fries than needed), and a loud post-work atmosphere - mostly men in shirts/suits and all male waiters that averaged at age 65. Felt like we got the full NY experience as a family on 4 on vacation. Very expensive approx $70 for steak with sides costing extra and a glass of wine approx $20 - great for a special occasion.
Always one of my favorite places. Was in NYC and wanted to have my birthday dinner there. The staff made it memorable. Great food, generous drinks and very attentive waiters with personality. Top notch.

A classic steak house. I moved away 15 years ago and I was back in NYC a few weeks back and this restaurant was my first go to. Stay away from the other Vans as they are not affiliated to this one.

Definitely not a restaurant for Myself, family or friends to visit again. It's like a fish market cannot even hear yur own voice, if at anytime I want noise like that I go to the club and listen to music not tryin to enjoy dinner and a good steak for hefty price with an environment of that sort. Definitely not worth the time and for sure I haven't enjoyed a penny I spent. Also the tables are so close to each other it's like you're at a wedding dinner ???

Food was exceptional good. Had the bone-in Rib Steak, mashed potatoes and a vegetable with a botttle of wine. Fairly expensive but maybe not for NYC standards. Our waiter was just an ok server. He did not have much of a personality.
Fabulous experience again , this is the platinum NYC steakhouse experience It screams class Thank you to Tim , our host and the whole team I could eat this ribeye steak everyday, sublime
We loved the atmosphere. If we lived in the area we would become a regular. All the staff so friendly as if they knew us. Food was delicious. My husband said it was the best steak he ever had. Will definitely go back next time in town.
Awesome food , awesome service but the compulsory tip at the end for 20 percent
Really ruined the atmosphere
For the owner, pay your staff a fair wage and get rid of the compulsory tip in the bill. It just cheapens the night out.
Edit - I am not fussed about tipping, it’s putting a compulsory tip in the bill. Most decent restaurants in the USA don’t put compulsory tips in the bill. So like I said, a compulsory tip in the bill just cheapens the atmosphere.
It’s out right cheap

Was in town and accidentally booked reservations at another Bobby Vans restaurant and came to this one instead. The host understood my error, smiled and sat us immediately for dinner. Our server was super personable, polite and funny! The food was delicious and came out quickly - we ordered calamari for appetizers, sirloin steak and Chilean seabass with creamed spinach and mashed potatoes for dinner, and my daughter had chicken Parmesan with a small side of pasta noodles. A little on the pricey side for the steak (I’m from Texas so it’s much cheaper at home ?)but totally worth it! Great food, great service, chill atmosphere.
