This place is by far the greatest steakhouse to be at on 50th street! they have a menu made for everyone and the servers are so polite, respectful and patient. Mickey was our server and he was spectacular! he had great patience and made sure my table was satisfied!!! Will definitely be back again and will recommend this place to many friends!!!

Not even close to as good as the one in Bridgehampton. The food was really tasty but not amazing, despite being just as expensive. They’re also missing the Gorgonzola sirloin, clams casino etc. Service was good but also not special. Atmosphere was weird. The restaurant was mostly empty made for not the best Saturday night dinner with friends. I wonder if another location would have been better.

Greeting from hostess was mediocre at best however service from Oscar was exceptional. He was Knowledgeable, attentive, and kind. Our meals (filet and scallops) were delicious...We will be back again soon.
We love Bobby Vans. Very convenient to Broadway. We went on Thursday, September 19th, before seeing a snow at MSG. I explained to the lovely hostess that we were waiting for the fourth member of our party to arrive. She let us take a great table and enjoy our drinks while waiting. We had a salad, a pizza, a burger and the mahi-mahi special. And a great bottle of red wine. Service was fantastic. We told them we had to be out by 7 to get to the show, and we were. Food was very good. Bill was 200 dollars which I thought was reasonable. It's our go to place in Manhattan. We'll be back!
My Bridgehampton fav! Can’t go wrong at Bobby van’s. Try some of the less well known items like their soups and salads. Amazing. Their burgers are out of this world. Great salmon. And fun!

Bobby Van's should be embarrassed by the food they served. Not one but two different courses were served ice cold and we had to send them back. Drinks took more than 20 minutes and the ice was melted when served, so it was clear they had been sitting a while. The restaurant was empty, there was no excuse. Additionally, they prominently advertise two three course menus online. One was non existent. The other they did not even offer the menu unless you asked, which is just rude. When finally served hot (note --even the soup was cold) the food was just passable. With all the choices in the city there's no reason to experience this.

Went after a matinee for the pretheatre deal, but they no longer have it. They did have a very nice $55 prefixe that included all the choices so it worked out great. Service was awesome, and never made us feel rushed. Restaurant was a bit loud, but there was a full after work bar scene going on. I'll definitely go back for the prefixe when in the area again
Our rating is based on our overall experience. However the area that ranked the worst was service. There was an apparent lack of customer service from our waiter. One example of this is that the waiter was not helpful with the menu items nor did our waiter, or any staff, acknowledge our daughter's birthday. We had specified this special occasion on our reservation. It would have been nice to simply say, “Happy Birthday”.
My friend and I was very irritated with the service. I ordered a Cesar salad with an add on. The menu says $17 for the Cesar Salad. Add on was $12 for Chicken and $18 for Shrimp & Salmon. It should’ve been worded Shrimp OR Salmon. I had no clue they were gonna charge me $18 for shrimp and $18 for Salmon separately. That was very deceitful in the wording as I eat very little and didn’t even finish my meal nor did we finish the lobster Mac and cheese we ordered either. Then when the check came, I was surprised to see the salad was charged individually for the Shrimp & Salmon. If I had known it was separate, I would ordered one or the other because it was too much to consume. On top of that the lobster Mac & Cheese was “ mistaken “ for a Lobster Cocktail which they had to correct on the bill. I still tip the waiter 25% but the principal of this matter is what I’m upset about.
