I had dinner at the bar and it was exactly what I was looking for--great steak, huge baked potato, friendly (and generous) bar tender, and totally worth it brownie sundae for desert:)

Had an amazing birthday dinner here. Everything was delicious and the staff was amazing. Very friendly and helpful in getting us out the door on time to catch our show. We ordered the rib eye and the petite fillet mignon. Also the best mashed potatoes and cheesecake I’ve ever had.
A very good experience at Bobby Vans on 45th St! Great service by Jose as well as very good interaction with the Maitre D insuring that we received a good table & customer experience. The food was excellent, enjoying the Sesame Tuna in addition to Steak Sandwich & Filet Mignon! Always enjoy the dinner before going to a Broadway play! Will be back soon.

Was charged 65$ for a steak that was priced at 49$ on the menu. Waiter said they thought we ordered a regular steak. This was not even an option on the menu. Beware of this

Very good food and serviceWent twice to this restaurant. Had a three-course set menu both times. There was about six starters, six mains and three desserts.Starters were quite generic, ie Caesar salad, soup etc, but tasted fantastic.Main courses were exceptional, the Argentinan steak with chimchimy sauce was really good. Needs to be rare, or medium rare otherwise it will be ruined.Desserts were really nice, brownies, cheesecake etc.Overall amazing food, great service and well worth the five min walk from times square

They have a great dinner deal that is perfect. The service is great just like an old school steak house. Super friendly and great tasting food.the steaks were great. Tasted the Argentine steak and the Filet. Both were cooked perfectly. The mental appetizer was fantastic. Highly recommend trying that. The calamari was very good as well. The only disappointment was the creamed spinach but the meal plus amazing desserts made up for it. Can’t wait to go back.

Enjoyed the pre -fix on a Saturday evening for $49.00- The short ribs and the Argentine steak were delicious- not oversized portions but just enough . Our Waiter was professional but not too friendly. Also, my water glass was not refilled the entire time ( whereas my dining partner had her water glass attended to, so what's up with that?) First time there so may consider a return- as long as I get a waiter who is more friendly and attentive. (And no, the restaurant was not busy -it was an early dinner)
Bobby Van always delivers a great experience. This was a last minute late dinner with the family, they were great, accommodating and elegant. Our waiter Jose was engaging and pleasant all the way.

Had their special menu for two and what a fantastic deal it was! It included 3 courses and a bottle of wine. If I'm not mistaken this is the only location in the city that offers it. The Argentinian steak and filet were cooked perfectly. The meatballs were great and the calamari was excellent, perfectly crispy. Also the dessert brownie was good and the cheesecake was excellent. The only let down were the sides but that's ok as we barely had enough room to finish all the food. Definitely spreading the word to my friends.
