With barely any knowledge of NYC (travelers from ATX) we came from Time Square to the west village. Knowing that there’s good bars and happy hours in the West village, we searched for bars/happy hours and BOBO popped up so we decided to stop there. It was very crowded inside and we were unsure if we could get sat, but the host was very nice and understanding that we were just there to get drinks on happy hour and directed us to the open bar. The bartender we had (forgot her name) was amazing. As she greeted us, I informed her that we were just there to get a few drinks from the happy hour (40mins left) and that I was trying to get at least two in before it ended. She shook her head in acknowledgment like she would make sure of it. I finished my first martini and before I was able to put it down she was asking, “ready for another”, even with the bar being very busy. My girlfriend also finished her drink and she was already getting offered another round. I Finished my second drink and she came up and asked “what’s next”, still with the environment being very busy. We were very satisfied with the service at the bar, would definitely recommend going on a weekend night, for sure would go back when we visit NYC. I wish I remembered the bartenders name, but she was from Florida so keep an eye out!

Server working hard but wasn't able to keep up. Food descriptions on menu were limited and we were a little surprised by what we got. Food quality was good.

The food was outstanding. We were a party of 4. Although we reserved the main dining room we were seated downstairs by the corner. Service was spotty this time. Took a while in between orders, utensils missing. Dessert for example was forgotten and had to be rushed. Finally, after the fact we noticed we were over charged on certain orders which were supposed to be happy hour specials. A really good restaurant overall but be aware of seating arrangements and check your bill.

I wouldn’t go back here because of the food. truffle croquettes were good but the oeufs meurette en cocotte (egg, bacon, mushroom) was mostly mushroom not a real breakfast kind of dish and pain perdu (French toast) was too sweet.

The person is ill suited for his role ...claimed to be a manager, yet refused to share his name.
We chose to enjoy cocktails n food at another place, there are so many to choose from in this neighborhood.

Long time fan of Bobo ..waitress was great but understaffed and 2 greeters stood chatting and not pitching in ..been here over15 times used to get treated like a regular but w new mgmt it's the opposite 😪
