a very casual brasserie style resto serving comfort food from USA and Italy: staff from NYC and Philippines lend a great level of hospitality and warmth to what might have been a standard UES cafe. But it is the unexpected quality and diversity of the food that brings many people back together here. Pricing is fair and maybe even a bargain when one considers the "free" Mimosas at brunch. All in all, a surprise gem on Lexington in the upper 80s.
I ordered a chopped Mediterranean salad. It came out with a ton of feta, a few soggy lettuce leaves, and chopped olives and peppers. Very unsatisfying and unattractive.
Great place to catch up with friends. Staff is always very friendly and helpful. Service is awesome. The Farmer's omelet is delicious.
Great food, service and atmosphere We were thrilled that although the restaurant was full, the noise level was not bad and we were able to enjoy conversation. Our vegan friend had an amazing experience. Also with a handicap seat we were near the bathroom which was on the same level (no stairs or elevators) 10 out of ten casual dining experience
I love this neighborhood place. The food is delicious-- fresh, with high quality ingredients. They are gracious to people who want to linger after their meal. It's ideal for breakfast or lunch.
I usually do brunch here over dinner so in speaking for brunch the food is always delicious and a great value all around. They include a drink to top it off and are always flexible with iced tea as an option. Service is always great and friendly.
We needed a lunch place on the Upper East Side. This was a perfect. Good variety of options. I got a salad that had dates and chicken and apples. It was quite good. Everyone was happy with their choices (turkey club and hamburgers). Nice neighborhood spot.
Good service, had salad with shrimp very nice and fresh seasoned just right. Shrimp nice and plump. Other diner had the calamari, which apparently was very good. Nice vinho verde. Asked for some bread for two of us and they brought one slice only, this could improve. Overall good and short walking distance from the Metropolitan Museum. Mix of locals and tourists- always a good sign.
Merly made our dining experience excellent. She made sure we were well taken care of. Hot food hot cold food cold. All ask for was served at the same time nothing was forgotten.
the service was very attentive but not overbearing t he portions were healthy . i had to take home a doggie bag

We had Tuna special with shiitakes and 3 color couscous. Our waiter recommended it and she was excellent ⚡️⚡️⚡️
Bocado Cafe is a reliable place to go for a good meal. Tonight I ordered the pan-seared branzino and my friend ordered the chicken paillard. We were both pleased with our dishes. I come here regularly and have recommended this restaurant to others.
Loved the food, attentive service and vibe.
