I absolutely love it here, I make it a point to be my first meal whenever I'm in the city. The authentic and artistic food, paired with a kind and happy staff has made it staple for me for over 10 years. It is comfortable, relaxing and a nice place to just enjoy. I'll be back and highly recommend you enjoy the experience as well.

I always get the rigatoni and vodka sauce… with sausage added. I could eat it everyday.

An amazing experience, 10/10 recommend the Bocca di Bacco location in the Theatre District. We dined in on 5/30/25 after seeing a show on Broadway.

Service: The service was fantastic, from beginning to end. The staff (the manager on duty) were so welcoming to us. We made a reservation for 9:30 PM, however I made it for the wrong location (made it for the location on 54th Street in Hell's Kitchen). The manager was completely okay with what had happened and was very understanding, and still accommodated us.

Food: This was my third experience at Bocca di Banco, but my first at this location. We chose to skip the appetizers this time. From my past experience, I would recommend the burrito (see previous posts). I had the gluten free rigatoni pasta and it was filling and cooked to perfection. My sister had the bolognese. If you have dietary restrictions and have to eat gluten free, they do offer gluten free pasta. You have to ask to substitute for gluten free pasta when you order, I don't recall seeing a disclaimer for the pasta on the menu, but they do have it available. Our dishes came out warm, the presentation was extraordinary and appealing.

Wine/Cocktail Selection: The wine and cocktail menu- there are so many options, and you can immediately tell that the management team is careful and selective of the wine they place on their menu. I ordered a bottle of Sangiovese, and it was the perfect combination with my Rigatoni dish.

We visited on a Friday night, and they were open late, so if you're looking for a real Italian dish, a fun/relaxed atmosphere, this is your place. They are also open late until 11PM on Fridays, so if you need a late dinner, they are accommodating and this is a go-to!

It was also my sister's birthday, and when the manager asked what brought us to the city after making conversation- we told him we were celebrating her birthday. The manager told our server and when we finished our dinner, she brought my sister out a few pieces of cake drizzled with chocolate. The manager didn't know the server brought out a dessert, so the manager brought out a SECOND dessert with a candle on it. At that point, we hardly had any more room to fit food, but the fact of the matter, was that the staff and manager were thoughtful beyond measure. They also took a picture of my sister with her birthday dessert with a panoramic camera and gifted her the picture as a surprise.

Great food!! Good service and ambiance, a short walk from the theaters, love to eat here before a show

Nice pre-theater spot. Not a traditional Italian restaurant (Crab cake! Raw tuna! On guacamole!). But they also have the usual suspects. In American portions.

This is the third of the three Bocca Di Bacco location in which we have eaten. The other two were nothing short of wonderful. This one was not so much. It might be because the Theater District is the busiest, noisiest and most crowded of the three. And, if noise and crowds were the only issues, we could have forgiven and been happy for a successful restaurant. But, one of the orders was chicken parmigiana that turned out to be sautéed on only one side, leaving a good portion of the 'other' side raw. We didn't notice it until we had all tasted it. We returned it, they took it off the bill, but four of us will be waiting a couple of days hoping we don't have to make a trip to the emergency room. Everything else was great. We loved the rice balls, the pasta and the Branzino, the affogato and the amazing chocolate dessert were all wonderful. But that chicken scared us and the fact that the chef didn't come out was upsetting. The place was jumping at 5:45PM on Saturday so it was also a little tough to get the attention of a waiter to ask for salt for the pasta. We will definitely try this establishment again, but at a time when it might not be as busy. We will absolutely go back to the other two Bocca di Bacco. I am so sorry to have written this review. So sorry.

The location is great for theatregoers The food is good and they get you out in time. BUT it is very noisy and the service is a bit hap-hazard. The staff just isn't attentive. We had to ask multiple times for basic things like butter, a 2nd drink, the check, etc.

We chose this restaurant due to the location and reviews. They did not disappoint. Everything and everyone was great. Service was prompt and friendly since we were going to a play. All of us enjoyed our meals. My friends were very happy I chose this restaurant and will return.

This is our go-to for pre-theater (at both Bocca locations, depending on which show we're seeing). Always reliable, fast service. Only 4 stars mainly because of the noise level (which gets louder after 6 pm). We will always return here!

Bocca di Bacco remains one of the great restaurants in the Theater District. While prices have gone up since the pandemic, they are still reasonable (certainly by Theater District standards) and the food is always excellent.
