Bodega 88 has proven itself to be a truly reliable and fantastic spot on the Upper West Side. The cool atmosphere and great vibe are immediately apparent upon entering. The staff is professional and friendly, and the quality of the drinks is consistently high. Most importantly, the food is reliably delicious. This is a wonderful neighborhood staple that I highly recommend.
A group of us went late - after work. The service was decent. However, due to the hour many things on the menu weren’t available. The portions were good. The bathroom was good. 1 of the best things about the place was that it was open so late & the vibe was casual (not too loud).
Bodega88 feels like your neighborhood bodega grew up, got a passport, and discovered bold flavors. The bar serves wings that mean business: crispy skin with just the right snap, sauced to perfection without drowning the flavor, and balanced with cool ranch plus carrots and celery. It’s makes you forget small talk.
