Bombay Bistros, located on Cornelia Street in the West Village of New York City, is such a lovely spot for a cocktail! :-) My boyfriend & I recently popped-in for a drink with friends, before hopping over to Palma for a late-night reservation. The bartender took great care of us during our visit - they make a delicious elderflower-based cocktail, which is fantastic!! The atmosphere inside of this spot is warm + inviting, and I'm looking forward to returning to try some of their food items in the future!
Food and service are great but please change the music. I’d like to hear classic Bollywood songs!
Our June 3 anniversary dinner was excellent. My late request for flowers was answered (a surprise for the wife, of course). Thank you so much to ALL the staff for your attentiveness. We will be back.
Sweet chili shrimp cocktail and braised short rib are great.
Absolutely amazing food and wonderful service.
I was very happy going here. Definitely a neighborhood gem. Great for a small group. Food was great. It was a bit pricey though.
Everything here was delicious and wonderful service! The lychee martini has to be the best one I’ve ever had. I need to know the name so next time I go I order it again!!
super quick service, delicious food and i will be returning. thank so much!
My friend and I visited Bombay Bistro for dinner on a Friday evening. The atmosphere was lovely and the vibe was as NYC as you can get. The food was delicious and portions were very generous. We shared the chicken samosas - divine, crispy. For mains we shared the lamb chops - huge portion, some of the best I've ever had, incredible plate with curried potatoes, the best curry sauce accompaniment you can imagine and grilled veggies, we also shared the chicken biryani and the Rogan Josh lamb curry. Both dishes were ample and packed with taste. The chicken biryani was moist and filled with succulent chicken topped with a beautiful soft crust and the Rogan Josh lamb was super succulent, and an amazing hot curry. We really loved the atmosphere, the decor and the vibe. It does get a bit loud, but not too much to have a good conversation. We arrived at 7pm and left at 10:35pm. They never rushed us to leave even though it was a Friday night. We had 6 cocktails between the two of us and they were al AMAZING!! Sooo original and very generous. All in all I would say this is an absolute must visit. An iconic NYC restaurant in the Village. I would go there again and again. Bring your appetite the portions big!
We had a delicious meal here, and for the most part the wait staff was excellent. However, the noise level is so excruciating that it was impossible for us to actually enjoy the meal. Music was blaring at an insane level from speakers at the back of the restaurant, causing people sitting a the bar to yell at each other to be heard. When we asked a member of the waitstaff to turn down the music so we could attempt to talk, she did absolutely nothing. I still have a headache and will never go back.

We loved the ambience, service, food quality, and low noise level of this cozy, quaint and well-kept restaurant.
Excellent service & menu; charming ambience. Would suggest adding Indian dessert options & masala chai.
Adorable little place with whimsical British artifacts from India, we overlooked the imperial aspects to just enjoy a step back in time. Biryani was interesting with a baked breading sealed in all the flavors, yum, and the vindaloo excellent too. Crunchy cauliflower was a bit too much deep fried coating but also very tasty and nice contrast in textures. Will be back to check out more of the menu.
The garlic naan, short ribs, and kebabs were all amazing. The service was friendly and very attentive. Would definitely come back again.
It was a good experience overall, the food was really good and the staff was friendly even it is a small restaurant felt very comfy. They should improve their service in terms of attention. Specially for busy nights like December. There wasn't a specific server for each table even we had to call someone to take our order. Not a big deal but we attention is everything. I definitely come back.
