I want to like Bonberi Mart so badly but I can't get over the poor service. I've shopped at Bonberi at least 10 times (I love their muffins and chai lattes) and I've left offended and/or confused almost every time. While I've had one or two nice experiences - the cashiers are generally judgmental, unfriendly and slow. The vibe of the shop is uncomfortable and it feels like the cashiers judge everybody who comes in unless they're a favorite. I've gotten very weird looks when asking what the daily muffin is, I've been straight up ignored by staff while waiting second in line for 15 minutes while they chat with another buyer... it's really disappointing behavior and I'm surprised that, based on other reviews on here, there hasn't been a change in staff or customer service training. On my last visit in, I paid with cash - only to be told that they didn't have exact change and then asked if 'I want any of the coins?' as the cashier held up a hand of small coins. I would love for Bonberi to start hiring more professional (and kind) staff. I would stop in more if it wasn't such a bizarre experience.

I came here after eating breakfast elsewhere so I didn't get a salad but they looked incredible and my friend raved about their dressings. I can't wait to come back and give them a try. She also said the brand that they sell there for gluten free baked goods (Knead Love Bakery) is amazing. :)

Love it soooo much! Small but mighty! A great selection of snacks, sweet treats, drinks and fresh take away food. The staff is amazing and super friendly & helpful! Everything I’ve tried so far has been consistently delicious & always fresh. I especially love the lentils, potato salad, chickpea tuna, their salads and the ‘knead love’ gluten free bread, bagels & cookies. I’m so grateful this place exists! :)

The energy in Bonberi Mart has gotten so much better! I think I can speak for everyone that Irene and the new staff make it a very pleasant space and I enjoy going there, exploring their specials & products they carry, and meeting new people. The previous staff, primarily Chelsea, made me feel unwelcome and would feel anxious when I’d go there. I would actually call in & ask if they had certain things in stock before heading over, but in reality I would check if she was working so I could avoid her energy. So glad it’s a much higher vibe there bc their food is top tier!

Love this place. Fresh juices & fantastic matcha latte. Staff was super helpful in directing me to different products I expressed interest in/asked about - even to the extent of offering me a recipe for these noodles I’ve never cooked with before :)Love their dog treat selection, too. And I’m especially particular with these!

Unlike a typical health food store, like Whole Foods, don't expect to do your weekly shopping in this tiny store. Also unlike a typical health food store like Whole Foods, the healthy food is not mixed in with a lot of meat/non-vegan/unhealthy items. In the small fridge inside this store, there are things like healthy salads and juices made specially for this market. I got a salad and tempeh "meatballs"--a bit pricey, but very filling and healthy as well.

There isn't much of a selection here and most of it can be found in other stores too. I'm honestly not sure how this place stays in business. I did get a couple protein bars I hadn't seen before that were okay. If you're in the area and want some packaged vegan junk food, swing by, but it's not worth a trip out of your way.

This is a vegan oasis with a caring staff offering sandwiches, vegan pastries & snacks;I hear the cinnamon rolls are 'to die for.' If you're in the West Village hold out at least for a cuppa organic biodynamic, espresso drink. I had an Americano with oat milk-warmed me from the inside out! I didn't need the red lentil soup of the day which I often make at home anyway. You can also buy the coffee to make at your home.
