We had a great meal at Boqueria. The staff couldn’t have been better! And the food was absolutely delicious!

The food wasn't as good as it used to be. Really small portion of Jamon for the price. The service was subpar. Disappointed. It used to be so much better. We've been to all of the restaurants for many years.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Boqueria W 40th Street. We were visiting NYC and had purchased tickets to see Hamilton on Broadway. We wanted to find a spot for a light dinner that we could enjoy early since the show was starting at 7. This place was recommended and we decided to give it a try. It was perfect- we shared about 6 or 7 tapa plates. The cheese plate, 2 orders of pimientos de padron (SO GOOD), the gambas al ajillo, bacon wrapped dates, boquerones with citrus, etc. Everything was amazing! I think our least favorite was the bacon wrapped dates. Nothing wrong with them, but the other tapas outshined in our opinion. We were surprised to realize it was happy hour when we arrived (I think 4-6pm), we ordered a pitcher of sangria- great pricing!! And then each had an espresso "mini martini" at the end. I felt the prices were great and the service was good.

The food and service was fine. The entire experience was ruined because the restaurant decided to pack their patrons like sardines in tables. Me and my girlfriend were seated in a round table on the east side of the restaurant. My girlfriend could barely get into the booth. The tables next to us were so close to ours that every time someone sat or got up, the neighbor's table would be knocked by the body of whoever was trying to get through. I was almost elbow-to-elbow with the persons seated next to us. Servers and runners needed to maneuver around me to give us our plates because of the lack of space. We were uncomfortable and cramped. Management needs to take a serious look at their restaurant layout. Is it worth it to have your customers have a negative experience just for the revenue of the extra table? I know I'm not the only person this has happened to.

A VERY NICE EXPERIEINCE, EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS WITH EXCELLENT SERVICE. ONLY DISAPPOINTMENT WERE THE BEEF STEAK SKEWERS - VERY LITTLE BEEF THAT WAS TOUGH AND DRY AND LOTS OF CHORIZCO THAT WAS NOT DISCLOSED ON THE MENU. ANCHOVIES STAND OUT.

They forgot about us when we were seated outside. Our food took at least 45 minutes to come and came at random times. Everything was an incorrect temperature and they also brought us the wrong drinks initially. Highly doubt I'll be back.

Really great food. Nice vibe. I made a mistake with my reservation but Carol took care of it a saved my night. She is wonderful.

It was a pre matinee lunch and we had plenty of time to enjoy our meal including dessert! We had tapas (shrimps, octopus, pimientos and pan con tomates) sandwich (jambon and manchego with side salad) and olive oil cake to share and we were properly stuffed. Our server Carla was friendly, helpful and engaging raising the whole experience. I was happy to know that Boqueria was still a reliable standby.

Our reservation for the evening of April 8th was made weeks in advance. I received a text message the day before our reservation to confirm we were attending to which I replied and confirmed. However, when we arrived for dinner we were told we did not have a reservation and there was no table for us. After sharing my OpenTable confirmation number we were given a table and told we had 45-minutes to eat before we had to leave. This was an anniversary dinner and very disappointing. I have booked this restaurant for business lunches/dinners previously and now have doubts about doing so in the future. The food is great and the wait staff is attentive but none of that matters if your reservation isn't honored.

We won't go back. Food is plain to mediocre, the Happy Hour menu is extremely limited, one of the front of the house crew moved the table next to us so close to us that we couldn't get out on that side and two of the three of us had to move down the bench and shimmy out the other side. Service was slow. Frittata served stone cold. No wonder it came out so fast! They clearly had already made it and it had been sitting out God knows how long, got stone cold and they brought it out like that. When I asked them about that, they said, "It's supposed to be served room temperature." WHY? Since when is a food item with eggs as main ingredient served room temp? And I told them mine was NOT room temp, it was cold! It took them forever for them to bring out a new one. Worst of all, despite slow service, they rushed us out immediately AFTER giving my husband a beer. The front of the house staff and servers apparently do not communicate at all. You don't serve a beer and then tell people they have to leave because there are reservations. We said fine, take the cost of the one beer off the bill and we'll leave right after that. Took forever for that staff person to finally stop talking (waste of time) go up front, adjust bill and bring it to us. If it was so important for us to leave quickly, why did he waste so much time continuing to stand at our table and blab?

We were a party of 3 at 430 on a Saturday afternoon. Ordered drinks with limes, they brought lemons. Asked again for limes - brought us a plate of lemons. Ordered 2 appys, they brought one but charged us for two. Worst of all: they neglected to point out the AUTOMATIC 18% gratuity, we tipped 20% on top and they never said a word.

I’m not happy with how things went on here today. I was so looking forward to trying the place out for the 1st time. I ordered a bowl, it never came until I decided to cancel my order cause I waited for 30min+ for a bowl ??‍♀️. I liked my drink that also had a long wait time to get to me.

They did apologise for the poor service though, and I’m grateful for that. I guess I’ll try the place again since I wanted to try out the food so bad. I’m hoping for a better experience next time ?

Very pleasantly surprised when I happened to try this place for a work lunch. Service was very friendly and fast. Food was really very good - all our tapas were tasty and well balanced. Would certainly visit again
