Their baristas were so sweet and honestly had great vibes. The Major was really good, though it was sweeter than I'd normally prefer. Ample lighting and seating when I went and a huge plus was being able to charge up my phone (ample outlets).

The service in this place is confusing and moves at glacial speed. I’ve given this place a chance three times have had the same experience every time. It doesn’t matter how quiet it is there is constant confusion on orders, how to use the system and it takes an absolute age to get your order. Today we ordered a coffee and a gluten free sandwich. There were 3 people in front of us. The coffee took ten minutes. We got that and asked how much longer for the sandwich. Clear confusion on the sandwich question, felt like it was not even on the radar, but was given a hastily “5 more minutes” response. Then, 10 minutes later they tell us they are out of gluten free bread. How does that even happen. 20 mins to find out they don’t even have it. Never mind the complexity of trying to get a refund. Go for the dogs not the service.

Boris and Horton is the staple of the East Village. It serves as a community space for dog owners. Everyone is always extremely kind and the coffee is always strong!

A dog-lover’s heaven where there are puppers all over the place! Great for both dog owners to socialize their pups and non-dog-owners to be surrounded by adorable vibes!Though I recommend if coming here to do work on your laptop, either wear headphones or not do serious, concentration-needed work since it is VERY easily to get distracted by the dogs and noise. (When new dogs enter, it easily gets loud from the dogs barking until they do their butt-sniffs with each other.) If you’re used to the noise/chaos, or simply want to chat with friends and dog-watch/pet, this is the place to be!Otherwise, very delicious and filling food options, along with great drinks!

This place sucks. I went there for a coffee and one of their employees burst through the front door and began obnoxiously rapping in my face. I was so confused, it felt like something out of 8 Mile - I kid you not - worst customer experience I've ever had. Don't touch this spot w a 10' pole.

I went here multiple times a week (2021-23 before rent pushed me out of nyc). I studied while my Velcro dog played or found a temp other Velcro human who missed their childhood dog. Coppy was just about always there and knew ALL the dogs. Zoë loved their treats and loved their human food (she’s spoiled) as much as I did/do. This place is one of a kind. If I had more money, I’d pour it in to B&H!Support this place! It’s just a necessary, good- hearted, happy cafe that this city needs. So basically, 10/10 recommend lol

I wiped out on the sidewalk (tripped on an unrelated/errant piece of trash/am generally clumsy) and Coppy came running out and offered me something to drink and then let me use the first aid kit/clean up my scrapes! Incredibly kind and welcoming staff <3 hope to return under different circumstances soon :)
