Wish I could try this man’s food. It was very interesting how I came to be at this establishment today. Went into a place next-door that wasn’t quite what I was hoping it would be. When I stepped outside, I was standing in front of this gentleman‘s restaurant, actually googling on my phone - banana pudding. He was excited they had just taken the scaffolding down so you could actually see the front of his restaurant. He was very friendly so he invited me in and when he showed me the menu, the second dessert item listed was in fact, banana pudding. Homemade, truly excellent. I’ll definitely come back to try the food he just wasn’t ready for service when I stopped in. Super friendly guy as well. Go visit this restaurant.

We got the oxtail and jerk chicken meal with mac and cheese n greens, it was great. Not only was the food good, but the hospitality is the icing on the cake. The owner was super welcoming and generous, had us thinking we needed to leave with one more plate ? definitely recommend!!

Well dang!. Ran into this spot tonight. I thought I’d taste the beef ribs. Ended up with the best country gravy on the delish baked mac n cheese and some banging green beans and potatoes. I’m so mad I don’t have a cup of this gravy on the side.

When I ordered the Mac & Cheese, I expected the cheese to be Prevalent like the name states. Yet I was left with minimal cheese and a rather dry consistency. Furthermore, the BBQ that I ordered was bland and frankly didn't taste like BBQ. The rice was meh, and so was the banana pudding. Overall, I would say I was very dissatisfied with my delivery.

If you want some good soul food try this restaurant. The food was delicious!!! Jerk had a nice kick to it....and collard greens had such a nice flavor, mac n cheese was nice too. Five stars in my book. Signed PUNKIN FROM JERSEY!

Want real authentic soul food? Please don’t go here. The food was terrible. Just because “it’s the only” soul food place in east Harlem doesn’t make it good. Prices are way too high for the poor quality of food. Other than it being way too spicy, the oxtails had no seasoning, canned greens, and meat loaf had some type of sweet jelly on it too. Food was terrible. Reviews are probably from friends and family that tried to help but NO.
