We were there for lunch right after a holiday so business was a bit slow, but the staff was very upbeat and cheerful. We have been there two times previously because my sister's MDs are in the neighborhood and we will return again.

If you want the finest Italian Cuisine and service then you must dine at the Bottega. Always excellent food and service. It's a must go to when we are in Manhattan.

The caprese was service dry with tiny tomatoes, the lasagna was cold and the capellini with shrimp was way over priced. Average Italian food with Upper East side pricing.

Service was amazing from the second we walked in. Attentive, funny, fun and amazing food. Great for groups. Both wine and cocktails were great as well.

The food is consistently good, staff attentive. I have been a fan since they first opened.

Everything was wonderful! The house made spinach pasta was delicious, as was the branzino. The artichoke salad phenomenal, and the tiramisu was light and yet rich. Service was impeccable and the setting lively yet intimate. We will be back!

We enjoyed the spaghetti with shrimp but the sole special did not taste freshly fried (it was room temperature and the coating was not crisp). The tiramisu was terrific, though!

Highly recommended . A neighborhood's Italian restaurant on Upper East Side, true Italian food! Our waiter Mr Eladio was superb and all staff were very attentive. The ambience, the food and portions are great. The Arancini were creamy crispy. Perfect! A very good experience. I always come back.

I went here for a work lunch with my colleagues. It was a very welcoming environment and in true Italian style, the customer service was as if we were welcomed to eat with family. Every staff member was attentive and consistently changed out plates or cups that were no longer in use. The restaurant is accommodating of large parties as we were not the only large party in the space. Wine bottles are the interior’s decor and some inventory which was a nice touch. The food was good and everyone really enjoyed their meal. My pasta was a little underwhelming but nevertheless, good. Every other meal was very well received so I’m confident with their many options, there are many gems on the menu. I’d definitely come back for either a corporate lunch or dinner date. I imagine the ambiance is much nicer during the evening.

Bottega is one of my favorite after work spots on the UES! The service is always top notch and the food and drinks are great. Can’t go wrong with the chicken scarp!

Anthony, the great personality welcoming you to Bottega Restaurant at 70th and 2nd, is a maestro of magic when it comes to food and ambience, having created this superb 2nd Avenue gem that we love for its amazing antipasti, creative cocktails and some of the most fabulous specials in the UES restaurant scene. (Check out their superb soups, halibut, veal chops and branzino!) From the minute you stroll into Anthony's welcoming food festival in the well appointed and sleek modern dining room (past the lovely and welcoming patio space which is a favorite for our pup who's treated like a king by the folks who make Bottega one of our favorites!), one is in awe of the walls of wine racks featuring some terrific vintages and hidden jewels from around Italy and the world. From the beautiful bar stocked with the standards as well as some surprising eclectics that allow you to explore your inner mixologist, one feels at home, ready to be pampered, well fed and treated like the friends you've always wanted to be in a place that takes two things more seriously than anything else - it's food and it's clientele. Become part of its family and you won't be disappointed. Bottega is a must do in the Upper East Side for any discerning palate!
