Happened to stumble upon this fabulous Chelsea bakery on a Saturday late afternoon just before closing time. The staff was helpful in helping me decide between a savory and sweet croissant, decided on the savory Cacio e Pepe Cheddar Cheese Twist which was out of this world. As they were closing up, they were kind enough to give us a couple extra muffins and baked good to try…great staff and highly recommend their baked goods!

We were so cold and happened upon Bourke Street Bakery. We were welcomed with warmth from the two baristas, the music(that we had to dance too) and the coffee and pastries. We hope to go again before we leave NYC.

Delicious food and drinks, but they closed the restroom from their patriots too, no option to was hands before you start eating.
I’t sure less work for them, but quality of the place suffers

I’ve visited this café several times and love it! The Carrot & Walnut Cake is perfectly balanced—not too sweet. The Butternut Squash, Rosemary & Parmesan Quiche is savory and perfect for brunch or breakfast. The croissant is wonderfully flaky with great texture. They also offer a great selection of organic teas.

The café’s simple yet cozy design makes it a lovely spot to relax. I’m looking forward to trying their sourdough bread and other pastries.

I’ve been here before and love their funky options. Today they completely missed the mark. I’ve never ordered a sandwich here so I decided to be adventurous and order an everything croissant with tomato & Swiss cheese. The not so friendly counter person asked if I wanted it ‘warm’ so I said ‘sure!’. Never expected the ‘warm’ to be completely on fire. It was so hot I had to wait a good 4-5 minutes for it to cool down then when that didn’t work work I opened it only to discover it was still piping hot. The tomato and arugula were completely wilted/mushy/beyond enjoyment. The croissant wasn’t crispy or flaky… this was on top of the counter person being a tad rude to me for not knowing what exactly I wanted. I left the place so completely dissatisfied. Erggg

Overall I think it was a little more overhyped and overpriced for what it was. The location is great and it looks cute from outside but inside the seating was minimal, awkwardly spaced, and the seats weren’t very comfortable. They were hard tiny stools with small tables.

The croissant sandwiches were a little pricey but they were tasty and had huge portions. My friend, however, got a quiche that had a solid, dry egg yolk that fell out of the center. I think for the prices it could be a little fresher.

The staff was nice, but I felt a little rushed when ordering.

I was here last week and i have to say the manager Daniel was so sweet and kind. I had an issue with my order that i placed for pick up and he was so helpful. His customer service was top notch along with my matcha latte and almond croissant!

Very disappointed in the banana bread. Other items I've had like the croissants have been good.

Tasty and well made pastries but service is lacking. Was given wrong pastry after ordering and then matcha latte was only 3/4 full.

Pastries are consistently disappointing. The coffee is luke warm. Servers are rude despite generous tips. My girlfriend was feeling sick and had to use the bathroom after we finished a "for-here" meal and the employee refused -- we had used the bathroom in the past without any issue. There are plenty of great coffee shops in Chelsea to go to with better vibes and product. walk the extra block
