Great spot to go for a quick and potentially healthy (depending on protein you select) lunch. Loved how focused the menu was on 4-5 options that can be dressed up by a wide variety of sauces. I enjoyed my fried chicken bento box very much. It's a small spot, so you just need to walk in and grab a box to go. Everyone was friendly and food was very affordably priced.

Boxed To-Go offers a good amount of meal options for under $15 for when you don't have the time to make lunch yet don't want to spend a lot. It was pretty busy when I arrived. A lot of people were just grabbing to go. They don't have a lot of seats, two tables inside and two tables outside. The fried chicken bento box had a lot of protein. I got it with the nanban sauce and tartar. The nanban sauce was a sweet and sour sauce, and the tartar sauce reminded me so much of an egg sandwich normally found at Japanese convenience stores. It was a strange combination, but it wasn't bad. The edges of the rice were hard, but most the center of the block of rice was fine. I assume they make giant batches of protein and just portion them with every order. Therefore, the chicken wasn't as crispy when I got my bento. They include veggies which is great. There was a pickled one and lotus root on the day I went. The price for the amount of food you get is hard to beat. The location is centrally located as well. Great for students and workers nearby the area, but I don't think I'd come out of the way to get food here.

Great food at a great price! 7 pcs of Karage chicken (2 meals worth) that tasted just like you get in Japan. Sides were nice. Will definitely go back.

This is a great cheap option in this area for a quick bite. The seating is very limited: resembles a tiny cafe.

Boxed To-Go is an awesome hole in the wall lunch spot on St. Mark's. The menu itself is pretty short since they focus specifically on bento boxes. There are a couple of options to choose from, ranging from $9 to $12 - fried chicken, hamburg steak, fried tofu, grilled salmon, or fried shrimp. The bentos come with rice, pickled veggies, and another side that varies (sometimes lotus root or seaweed salad). My favorites are the hamburg steak and the shrimp. The shop itself is pretty small, with 2 tables crammed inside and a few more set up outside. There is a fridge with Japanese drinks and other sides (salads, etc) that you can grab. It can get a bit cramped inside if you happen to go during the lunch rush but the food generally doesn't take too long to come out.

Delicious bentos! We got the fried shrimp with sweet chili mayo, and salmon with teriyaki sauce. Both were delicious and perfectly cooked/grilled. Prices were very reasonable but portion sizes are pretty small. There's a tables to dine outside and service is pretty fast.

Really economical, big portions, yummy. Here is a fried chicken bento box + garlic sauce. Total was about $10.

Saw this place on IG, had to check it out. I ordered the fried chicken bento box ($9) with the garlic sauce (+$1). Overall Bento Box (4/5)- Fried Chicken w/ garlic sauce (4.25/5) Large amount and crispy with good flavor. Juicy, especially given they uses dark meat. - Pickled vegetable (4.5/5) Not sure what the vegetable was but the flavor was great, wish there was more!- Rice: The rice was quite dry when I had it. Not sure if it had to do with coming in the middle of the afternoon at around 2.Overall this place is great, I'd come back again!

Server took our order immediately, we ordered the fried chicken and fried shrimp box. If you are a sauce person, order sauce because the meat tasted a little dry. The shrimp tasted like honey walnut shrimp without the sauce. Boxes cannot be microwave. There one table inside and there are tables and seats outside. Would eat here again.

My grilled salmon did not seem like it was grilled- more like just heated up. The salmon was dry and salty. I do not recommend

Absolutely nothing wrong with this place. Simple options, amazing prices, awesome portions, and it tastes so good. the sauces are so good too and the diet coke can is $1.00 which is rarer than you think nowadays. It's quick and the main guy running the place is very very nice. the best best to go for a quick lunch. even space to eat outside. i hate those reviews where people give 4/5 stars but don't explain why. Why take the star away if your comment is positive? this place is 5/5 easily. my go to is the fried chicken and my girlfriend gets the salmon. the rice is awesome and it sticks to the packaging at the bottom and i like that because it's fun to try to get every last piece. i'll be back this week easily and enjoy it again.

I absolutely love this place! They have limited seating, but I really like coming here to quickly pick up lunch/dinner. They have different protein options like tofu, salmon, chicken, etc. They also have different sauces you can add to each box. I personally love the fried chicken with teriyaki sauce, and I love how the boxes come with a few small sides. I find this place to be really yummy and affordable for the amount of food you get. I've come here a few times and my order is always ready within minutes. Definitely a spot to try out, especially if you're looking for something convenient and filling.

i ordered the chicken bento box with ponzu sauce. it came with rice, pickled vegetables, and the chicken itself. the chicken was delicious, tender, fried dark meat. dark meat isn’t my favorite, but this dish was exceptional. the ponzu complemented the crispy flavors of the chicken perfectly.as the name suggests, you will need to get your bento box to go, as there is virtually no seating at this venue. though, there are limited outdoor seats available than can be used if the weather permits.
