The hostess took extra care in securing our table as requested by the front street windows. The brunch was perfect, and the service was professional. The ambiance was just the look of the Upper East Side.
The food was very good but the service was terrible. It was impossible to find our waiter and then he just left and was replaced with another waiter in the middle of the meal. I had to constantly track down the waiter for water, bread, wine, and a desert menu. We were a petty of 5 spending a lot of money, and you would think they would appreciate our business more
Service not anywhere near as good as has been over the years. The cheese fondue really stingy on cheese compared to the past. Very disappointinggiven the exhorbitant price.
Excellent food and service. Came in early afternoon, was eyeing something on the dinner menu and they still accommodated even though the menu at the time was for brunch. Everything we tried was great, my guest had the croque madame and said it rivals many of the ones she has had in Paris. Would recommend!!
I never tire of eating here. Their dishes respect cultural culinary traditions. The workers were superb! The food delivers on taste and the servers on attentiveness. This spot warrants your immediate visit!

I was visiting a friend at a nearby hospital and after leaving wanted to treat myself to a wonderful steak dinner. A quick search brought me to Brasserie Cognac. Upon entering, I was immediately greeted and brought to a seat. I felt welcomed from the first interaction. I was brought some water and bread with their delicious butter. I saw Escargot on the menu and couldn't remember if I had ever tried it so I ordered that as a starter. It paired well with the buttery garlic crostini and had a nice bite to it. For my main course, I ordered the filet mignon (cooked to perfection at medium rare) which came with mashed potatoes and gravy, and I substituted Brussels sprouts for the asparagus. I had a pleasant Malbec to go with my steak. The filet mignon was delicately seasoned, moist, tender and went well with the potatoes and gravy. The Brussels are standard and delish. I ended my meal with a tasty Crème Brulée that I enjoyed very much. I was grateful for my server offering suggestions from the menu and being attentive throughout my experience. I would definitely come back to try more of the menu.

I came in doubtful but left impressed and satisfied. They prepare everything from scratch. The plates come full and all our choices were delicious. Restaurant staff are truly friendly. We found every aspect satisfying.
