Great place!
Excellent attention
The food, service, staff- just exceptional. You'll want everything on the menu. Just keep coming back and try them all. Order a Negroni from the bar while you're studying the menu. They make an excellent Negroni.
This isn't our first time at Bread & Tulips. The vibe is really chill, the food is truly excellent and the service is outstanding. You can order a perfectly handmade simple pizza, or a housemade pasta with a rich ragu. Either way, it's going to be amazing. The menu is small, but the flavors are intense. You'll want to try everything on the menu. Start with a Negroni from the bar (the best you'll ever have), and some freshly made bread with olive oil and salt while you decide on your meal. You'll walk out satisfied, happy, and planning your next visit.
We were in town for the 5 Borough Bike Tour and stayed at the Hotel Giraffe. We decided to eat at Bread &Tulips and loved the experience. Delicious salmon, great pasta with Brooklyn cured sausage and broccolini pesta that our wonderful server recommended. Fabulous and can't wait to return.
We were nearby and were looking for Italian places to get dinner. I ended up ordering the casarecce bolognese and it was quite delicious. For my preference, I wanted more kick to it so I added some red pepper flakes to it. My only gripe is that they hadn't provided more bread. There isn't a physical desert menu but looks like they do provide some options there.
What a wonderful meal in an inviting, intimate environment. This downstairs restaurant has a speakeasy decorative vibe; soft lighting, unique decorations. The margarita pizza is a must have! The grilled salmon was a delicious, generous portion. The pasta with lamb ragu was super tasty. The pasta with mushroom sauce was very good, too, but the sauce was a little on the heavy side for me. (I would have liked it a little creamier, but it was very flavorful.)
Definitely a place you want to come back to... the ambiance and the food was great! And they have a great list of wines to where you want to try them all... well that's what my table did lol. A must go restaurant!

Four of us met here to have dinner. I rated it Very Good based primarily on great service and a wonderful ambiance that felt like we were eating at someone's home. Two of us really enjoyed the dishes (carbonara and a stuffed pasta dish) while the other two thought those same dishes were good but not spectacular, mostly due to a desire for stronger flavors. Wine and drink list was quite good and reasonably priced.

Fun Italian place with good service. Great wine selection and meal variety with a fun atmosphere. Will be back.
Bread was cold and hard, food was okay (the pizza was soggy), water was good. Server in the bag eating while we waited 20-30 minutes for her to come around. NYC has many great places to eat and this not one of them.
Great atmosphere. Wonderful staff. Delicious food. Would recommend to locals and tourists alike—I've never had anything less than an exemplary experience here. The arancini is a must try.
Wonderful meal with family - service was excellent. Our favorite dish was the exceptional appetizer with scallops and asparagus, but the pizza was delicious as was the pasta. We will be back for sure!
This was my second meal at Bread and Tulips. The first was in 2017 and my son and I have raved abut it ever since. This time we returned on his 19th birthday along with the rest of our family. everything from the salads to the wine (an excellent Sicilian red) to the tiramisu was perfect. Thank you so much to all who made this a memorable and lovely meal. We'll be back!
