Great quality and authentic baked goods. Best burekas, rugelach and sesame bread in the city. Friendly and professional staff. A very kind guy worked on February 7 in the evening. Thanks for making my day🌞

I can always get a great variety here. The quality of the salads are great. The chocolate babka is my favorite. Despite the small structure, there are a lot of options and service is fast.

I'm very hesitant to leave this review, because I don't want the line to get any longer in the morning rush hour. However, the bakery deserves a shout out for their delicious bakes and top-level service from the lovely ladies. Toasted bread and hot latte are just so heavenly in the winter park.

The bakery here is fantastic, and the prices are very reasonable. I tried the hot chocolate, but unfortunately, it wasn’t hot and was a bit too sweet for my taste. That said, the croissant was absolutely amazing, making up for it—I’d rate my overall experience a solid 4/5. I’ll definitely come back for more croissants next time! The pistachio donut was another highlight; the cream inside was rich and luxurious, far from cheap-tasting. If I’m ever in the area again, this bakery will definitely be on my list to revisit!

My second trip to NYC and I had to stop at Bread‘s Bakery again because it was so good the first time! This time we did the Bryant Park kiosk to grab some quick pastries while walking around town. I don’t know if I can go to NYC and not get something from them.

If you come at an off-time, you can avoid the line-up, and get your daily dose of chocolate babka and chocolate rugelach (…or is it rugela? Rugula? Spelling TBD but taste is on point!)
Got to eat at one the seats on the opposite side of the till, and got to soak up New York and Bryant Park while indulging in breakfast goodies!

The croissants were good but the coffee was way too watery. But the location in Bryant Park is nice.

This location is a small kiosk on the corner of 42nd & 6th. They may not be in the display case, but there are chocolate babka loaves on the baker’s rack in the back. You just need to ask. Coffee is decent, too.

The service staff are quite polite and friendly. It would be a great experience to buy some bread and sit down and enjoy the afternoon in the park next to it.

Have been wanting to try babka in NYC for quiet a bit of time now. Finally it was my lucky day, and I was looking for best babka in google maps and chrome, the first suggestion which popped up was Breads Bakery. That suggestion is so perfect that it is really one of the best babka I have ever tried. At first we wanted to get a slice of chocolate babka, however it was late in the day and there were no more single slices available, hence bought the whole
loaf and I did not regret that decision. We shared this babka with our cousins and they as well loved it so much. Every bite of it was perfect blend of richness and texture, moist & , just melts in your mouth. To explain it in one word it was phenomenal, satisfying and addictive, see One word is not enough. Again one of the best babka i have ever had. If in NYC make sure you try this place out for chocolate babka.

Not much to comment on in terms of atmosphere - tables in the park around a kiosk - pigeons all around. But these guys work hard and make a damn good mocha latte! It tasted like actual milk chocolate melted into the coffee drink. Yum! A little sweet for my taste, but better than most mocha lattes made in cafes with Ghirardelli syrup.
