My husband is always on the quest for the best cup of plain coffee. He claimed this is the best he has ever had!!
Chocolate Babka was fantastic and baguette was just as good as in France. My friend also got the pain au chocolat and said it was perfect. Merci bien !
The bakery is cute and the smell is delicious. We ate the cheese stick, which is made from puff pastry, and the cinnamon roll, delicious and warm, it was our last breakfast in NYC, it was worth every penny. We love

My wife & I were walking to Avra, we stopped by this place to see what they have only to return after having dinner at the former place. Bought an almond croissant for over $6 & 6 chocolate rugalach for $14. The almond croissant is assembled from a regular croissant by slicing it in half as you would slice a bagel. Then, the almond paste is smeared in between. I didn't believe it was done that way with Maison Keyser or other places. Nevertheless, it's overpriced for lack of effort. The ruglachs look like mini croissants. They were flattened by the time i got them home. But, I didn't try it.

Unfortunately, the whole brownie for share with my family that I purchased from Breads Bakery was a letdown. Despite its promising appearance, the flavor was overly sweet without any depth of chocolate.
For a bakery that I had high hopes for, this brownie was a disappointment. Maybe it was just an off day, but I won't be rushing back to try another one anytime soon.

We were here at Breads and Bakery after seeing beautiful pictures online. The store only runs because of its location. There is a selection of baked goods, whether sandwiches or confectionery. We ordered 2 burek with potatoes, a cheese-filled stick, 1 Mediterranean salad with feta, 1 black tea and a cappuccino for about $39.
The seating areas are not cleaned by the staff and you have to clean the dirt from previous guests yourself...Hygiene is a very important factor in the catering industry...
