Brodo - Upper East Side

I was unimpressed with both chicken bone broth’s. I have cooked in professional kitchens, including a NYC Michelin star restaurant, for over 26 years. I have been making bone broth for years and have had bone broth at Other takeouts. Both chicken broth and bone broth have bones in them, but a true bone broth has a large ratio of bones to water.This did not have the rich taste of a classic bone broth I am used to.While many people may not be bothered by this, I just personally feel that if I’m paying about $10.00 for a cup of bone broth- I’d like to get a properly concentrated/reduced rich liquid.Both chicken bone broth’s that they serve me were lacking richnessAnd tasted like a very simple chicken soup That lacked the necessary amount of bones. Another disappointment was that the chicken bone broth they serve me did not have All have the fat skimmed off the top, So my first few sips were unpleasant.It was not worth the trip.

The broth is insanely good. The stuff they put in it is very much ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯ but it doesn't matter because of how good the broth is

Something is wrong when you have to wait 15mins for soup. Always closed. Standing now in front of it at 10:09 AM and is closed. Sign at the door says w 9-7 Mon.through Sunday. I can’t tell you how many times it happened to me to walk up just to find it closed on different days and times. What is going on?

Efficient service , good layout and products are good. Thus us strictly a takeout place located on Lexington avenue which is very easy to drop in. Have nit tried any other products but the vibe broth is quite good snd a bit expensive. Thank just get what looks to be well made products here.

Life changing!! Love the taste and heath benefits. Much healthier for me to replace morning and afternoon lattes with broth. Critical to my intermittent fasting. I’ve lost 28 pounds. New flavors are terrific adds to foundational broth. My only request is do refills at store w my thermos

Tried to get soup for family who all have Covid and this location was closed before the posted store hours. Employee inside refused service despite seeing me waiting.. So upsetting.

Underrated

I love soup but the soup here is not good. It taste like nothing. No flavor whatsoever.Very over priced.Will not be returning.

Terrible soup that it seems like is just desiccated vegetables that they reconstitute with some flavorless broth and then charge 13$. Go to the deli or get canned soup

I'm obsessed. I am now including brodo into my diet daily. Stuff of life!

Lovely store and attentive, pleasant staff. All the products are also first-rate. A healthy alternative to coffee! ?
