The culinary experience exceeded expectations. The food was exceptional, and the alcohol was generously portioned. The dinner was worth every penny.

Was visiting from Florida and found this restaurant using google maps. Sat at the bar for dinner and wine. Maggie was the bartender and provided great service and conversation. The manger on duty was also very welcoming. I would definitely return to this location, maybe not for dinner, but drinks for sure especially if Maggie is on duty. Thanks for a pleasant experience visiting NYC.

This was our second time here, and once again, the customer service was top-notch! We devoured every bite—no scraps left behind. The music was on point and added to the vibe. Sure, our family of 3 spent over $250, but we’re here for a good time, not a long time! Definitely coming back the next time we’re in NYC.

This is not a review reflecting the owners of Brooklyn Chophouse, but the people running the July 16 Backwoods RZA/Method Man Wu-Tang After Party.

After having paid $700 per person to attend this, never have we been treated with such disdain and disrespect. Examples:
- After being seated, we were asked to move which we happily obliged. Despite this, one of the hostesses was so rude it was actually comical, even after we gladly got up and asked where we should go (she angrily yelled “I already told y’all!”)
- We were shuffled around and the staff there (not the people running the event) were unable to find us a seat; they were awesome and very apologetic. However, food took literal hours to come out and service was extremely poor. We paid over $1400 and yet, they told us there was no seat or dedicated area for us.

To add, we asked Method Man for a signature ( a “host” for this event) and he said “we charge for them shits”. After spending thousands supporting the Wu including tickets/merch and this after party, that was definitely super wack. This was one of the worst, most disorganized uncoordinated events we have ever attended. Again, this is for the Tical event hosted at BCH, and not an issue with the BCH.

AVOID ANY BACKWOODS-HOSTED EVENT.

THERE WAS NO WAIT FOR TWO AT 3PM ON A SATURDAY. NICE ATMOSPHERE. THE SEATING ISN'T BAD DEPENDING ON WHERE YOU'RE SEATED. SOME OF THE SEATS ARE SPACED TOO CLOSE TOGETHER OR ARE IN SPOTS THAT PUT THE PATRON IN HIGH TRAFFIC AREAS, BUT THESE ARE MINIMAL. THE FOOD IS PREPARED WELL. A BIT PRICEY. PLAN ON SPENDING $30 - $50 PER PERSON. PORTIONS ARE MODERATE. THE BAR IS BY THE DOOR.

Absolutely amazing. The food was incredible. The spicy shrimp we highly recommend as well as the lobster wontons. Leave room for dessert, and get a slice of cheesecake!.

I rarely write reviews—especially negative ones—but after my experience yesterday, I feel compelled to speak up.

I made a reservation for 7:00 PM and arrived after picking up my fiancée. Upon arriving at the restaurant, we were stopped at the entrance by the security guard, who was eating sunflower seeds at the front door and immediately came off as rude and dismissive.

I informed him that I had a reservation, and he responded by telling me I couldn’t come inside because I was wearing sneakers. This was incredibly frustrating and confusing, as I’ve been to this restaurant multiple times before—always in sneakers—and have never been turned away. In fact, my entire party has worn sneakers on previous visits with no issues.

He then went on to say, “I can see past the shorts, but you can’t wear sneakers.” So apparently, in 90-degree weather, hard-bottom shoes with shorts is the new standard? Rather than escalate the situation and make a scene—especially while out with my fiancée—we decided to leave quietly and take our evening elsewhere.

Unfortunately, it was very clear that this security guard had personal motives in denying us entry. My fiancée and I are a Black couple, and the treatment we received felt targeted and discriminatory.

We ended up dining at Il Mulino Prime, a significantly more upscale establishment, and were welcomed without issue. I sincerely hope someone from upper management sees this, because poor customer service—especially when laced with bias or discrimination—can and will damage your reputation. No one deserves to be treated the way we were.

I hope someone reaches out to rectify this, you have my number Wesley my reservation was on the 6th

Very bad service food was serve cold food was served before my drink drinks. The facility was extremely cold manager told me that he turned it down, but did not. We were removed from our table because supposedly a bigger party was coming. The party never came. They sent other people in those seats not compromising about moving my table because of the freezing cold and I explained that I had a health condition I couldn't sit under the fan never will go again thank you
