I've lived in Greenwich Village for 35 years and this is one of my favorite neighborhood spots--the kind of place that has fabulous food, reasonable prices, and warm, attentive service. The pizzas have great toppings and that perfect char around the crust that I love. But it has more than just excellent pizza. Try the mussels--they're the fattest, juiciest I've ever eaten and dressed in wonderful sauce. This is the kind of restaurant you can go to all the time!
overall, good experience would definitely go back and what stood out the most was the pizza dough. The sauce was somewhat bland, but the dough seem like it had the time and attention to it, cause you can really taste the flavor,. Another standout was the service was great didn't rush us very attentive and warm and friendly. and the artichoke appetizer was very good. Meat ball appetizer was fine, but I just needed a little kick again overall definitely go back
My candidate for best pizza in Manhattan: wood-fired brick stove imported from Italy goes up to 1200°F! Ingredients fresh; good selection. Ask to space out if you order a few pizzas so you're always eating hot. Ps. The wines by the glass are much better than the norm. Forvbbl: try the Ridge Zin
