We have been here before many years ago and it was amazing - food, service and ambience. This time, the server was very nice but we were handed our utensils in our hand by the assistant and rushed out. The food and drinks wasn't as amazing as we remembered. The manager was very nice and again our server was attentive. If you don't mind a loud and energetic place, this is for you.

This was our second visit to Buddakan and it was as amazing as the first time. We started with the Dim Sum Sampler which includes 6 different types of dim sum that were all flavorful and ordered our own entrees which were large enough to share if so desired. We finished the evening with their Crying Chocolate dessert which was their version of Molten Lava Cake. Highly recommend if you're looking for a culinary experience in a beautiful atmosphere (think of it as Dinner with a Vampire). Definitely a 5 Star experience!

Really enjoyed the yellowtail and general Tso dumplings. All the food was delicious. Service was fabulous. We were well taken care of even though the restaurant was crowded.

Food was nice but I think a little overpriced. The venue is very dark with very bright spotlights above each table which is a strain on your eyes all dinner and too much.

We were greeted and seated promptly and the dining room was a sight to behold. However, after we placed our order and we were anticipating our meals, we were informed that due to ventilation issues in the kitchen, we would not be served our meals that evening, the fire department was on their way and kitchen closed. It was a massive disappointment with a booking held so far in advance of our (only) visit to New York. While understandable, it's not the experience we had hoped for after looking forward to it for so long, even though we understand the circumstances.

Thank you Buddakan for hosting my party of 10! You have been one of my top restaurants for decades. The food was amazing....service was fantastic, especially Kevin going above and beyond. See you on our next trip to NYC!

Lovely restaurant with perfect portions. We got the oxtail dumplings, pot buns, peking duck, black pepper beef, yellowtail and rice to share between three and it was the perfect amount. Pricing is not too expensive for what you are getting. Service is alright, once it gets busy after 7 the team do start rushing you a bit. If you are not in the main dining room the experience is compromised a bit as you won't be able to see the chandeliers during your dinner - I was quite disappointed given I had asked that if I was not able to be in the main dining room to let me know in advance so that I could cancel the booking but did not receive this courtesy.

Food is outstanding! A+ tuna tartare spring rolls are delicate and incredibly delicious. Pork wontons superb. Peppered beef was perfectly seasoned and fork tender. Noodles over the top. Highly recommended dinner locale

The food was good, but the service was disappointing. We went there for a birthday, and despite the place not being very crowded, we didn't feel that we received enough attention.

This was our first time at Buddakan NY. The restaurant is beautiful, delicious drinks and food and very pleasant, lively environment. Service could have been more attentive, we had to refill our wine glasses ourselves, but it was OK.

Food was great!! Service was extremely slow. I had to ask several different people for our water glasses to get refilled and couldn't get our waiter back over to us to order another round of drinks. Extremely disappointing for the price we paid and how excited we were to try it.

Buddakan is the equivalent of a chain restaurant like PF Chang. Terrible, low quality food, nice atmosphere.

I really enjoyed my first experience at Buddakan Chelsea, New York. I had taken the dumpling class where Buddakan brought people together in such a unique way. The staff there was friendly knowledgeable, as well as family oriented. Highly recommend Buddakan to anyone that is coming to visit the New York city area or even planning a local lunch or dinner date

Almost everything was excellent. The pork buns, the broken chilli chicken, the cauliflower and the lamb chops. A few things could have been slightly better - the ox tail dumplings were underwhelming and the crispy beef as well. Overall an excellent experience, but it's extremely noisy

My experience was amazing, the venue itself is gorgeous. The service staff are amazing and knowledgeable, and the food was delicious.
