So much good food. All the rumblings were amazing. A little dark but it was a good vibe.

Came here with my Fiancé for her birthday celebration. Unfortunately we were not able to experience most of the menu due to the fact that the waitress informed us that almost every dish included oyster sauce even though it wasn’t displayed on the menu. My fiancé has a severe shellfish allergy. I couldn’t understand why pork/chicken appetizer or most pork dishes and a good portion of the chicken dishes used oyster sauce but didn’t display it. This was very disappointing considering the scale of the dinning experience. Wish they would’ve displayed this on their website or menu when I viewed it prior to booking the reservation. Service was nothing to smile at considering her lack attention to detail that cause a few mistakes. The lemon drop martinis were extremely watered down. Simply tasted like lemonade. I wanted a quality dinning experience for my fiancé but was not given that. Truly left a sour taste in my mouth about this restaurant.

We found it to be an ordinary fashion site, no matter how famous it is. We had a table reserved a month ago for a special celebration. As soon as you arrive, you go through the reception and they tell you to go up a flight of stairs and wait for someone to take you to the table. 20 minutes pass and you are still standing like a fool at the entrance of the establishment, carrying your coat, wanting to sit down and without anyone offering you even a drink. When they seat us, the table is so close to the one next to it (with a large group), that you even feel like talking to them, all together (and it wasn't the open table). It is true that they had no problem changing tables but we had to wait again, so we said no, we had already waited when we arrived. They invited us to a glass of champagne and dessert, a detail. The food is good and well paid. Still I wouldn't recommend it.

Had for worst experience here if you’re coming, literally take a picture and leave or just have a drink. The servers are terrible, food is beyond mediocre. Not worth the dining experience New York has so much to offer. The servers would disappear in the back for over 30 minutes when you look all you see is then chatting to each other instead of coming to help. You get ignored left and right and it’s not a good feeling.

This is a very beautiful atmosphere for those who like to be seen! The meals are exquisite works of art. For me, it was more of an experience and less of a place that I could see myself going regularly.

A stunning space with amazing cuisine! Didn’t know if I was back in Japan or if I was at Carrie and Big’s engagement dinner lollll. The carrot dumplings and corn ribs were out of this world. Wish I could give this establishment more than 5 stars!

I have been to hundreds of different restaurants in New York but Buddakan has been my favorite for the past 8 years in a row ❤️. Food is fantastic, the duck is my absolute favorite, the ribs melt in your mouth and desserts are beyond words. Drinks are always on point. Service is always exceptional and there is no other ambiance like Buddakan’s. Sexual, elegant, misterios. I just love this place.

Some food was tasty while other dishes were not good. Staff seemed disorganized. The actual place is really nice. It’s also extremely expensive, i would not go back. Lots of sauces covering the taste of the foods ( sugars and salts) that make you feel bloated the morning after.

Dinner here was disappointing. We had a reservation for 7, but had to wait in the lounge until 7:30 to be seated. The service was on the slow side during the meal as well. We ordered the dim sum sampler for 2 which was very good, about it felt pricey for $45. The pepper beef was the highlight of the night, and was exceptional. Unfortunately, the vegetarian lo mein and tofu eggplant were average at best. For the price, this restaurant did not meet expectations.

Most food was a hit and others were a miss. We tried fish, meat, rice, vegetables, desserts. We waited about couple hours to be seated with a reservation! I also found a gold flower earring with diamonds on the floor which I brought to the front desk ( photo attached). A little on the expensive side. Water is 10$ a bottle so ask for tap. Broccoli and full sea bass were very good. Pineapple rice not great, matcha cheese cake we didn’t like. Ambiance spectacular even though in a basement.
