The food was good, the server Monica was very attentive & helpful & made sure to make my friends birthday dinner very special. Thanks so much for having my friends & I. Absolutely beautiful.
The waitress was so beautiful and provided the best service , food was soo good too !! Just wish the wait time was shorter. I made the reservation for 9:45 and I got there early but didn't get my table until 10pm 😠but other then that it was amazing
The ambiance has been a vibe all along but the food is top notch. Their selection of food is top tier and our server was super helpful in tailoring the food options by the number of people on our table. Their selection of drinks were on fire. I would give them 10/10 and I would come back again.
first time here and definitely will be back. It was an amazing experience with staff was so accommodating and welcoming. Food was 9/10 fresh and greatly proportioned.
This was requested by our client and all were left wanting. Overhyped Overpriced Underserved Rushed out Task managed for orders Cold food Late beverages Discombobulated experience Over $1000 Sticky table Scrappy, fraid old menus (wet / wiped as handed )
When in NYC we always dine at Buddakan. It is such a unique and beautiful space and the food is so creative and delicious.
We had a reservation at this restaurant for 7:00 PM and checked in with the host at 6:55 PM. We were asked to wait in the waiting area, which was a dark room with chairs and tables. There were about 10–12 groups waiting, and the hostess was calling out names very quietly, going group by group and almost whispering. We waited until around 7:10 PM and then approached the hostess to ask about our table. She told us that, according to the system, we had already been seated—which was clearly not the case. I had also specifically mentioned in the reservation notes that this was a special occasion and that we requested a table in the main dining room. It turned out that our table had been given to another group, likely because they misheard the name or the hostess had trouble pronouncing it, and they were seated in the main dining room instead. This honestly spoiled our mood and the excitement of visiting the restaurant for the first time. While this may seem like a small issue for a restaurant, it's disappointing for guests who are looking forward to a special experience—especially when instructions were clearly provided. I understand that mistakes happen and that names can be difficult to pronounce, but the system itself feels flawed. Either names should be announced more clearly, or there should be a screen so both guests and staff can easily confirm whose turn it is. That said, the restaurant did offer a complimentary dessert for the inconvenience, which was appreciated, but the overall experience was still affected.
It was a decent experience. We still had to wait despite having a reservation but it wasn't too bad. It's really dark in there though. I would definitely go back now that I know what to order. A lot of the food is overpriced and wasn't too much to my liking but the drinks were really good, the reflection drink.
The service was excellent. We enjoyed everything we ordered. There were people everywhere. It was hard to hear each other but worth the experience.
Ristorante Bellissima con atmosfera top ma il servizio ed il cibo scarso inoltre prezzi elevati non vale la pena!!
Restaurantji Recommends
Known location renowned stylish out of the ordinary for an Italian in NY. The atmosphere is quite fusion very low lights environment away from small Italian town restaurants but pleasant for a new adventure. Varied food but mediocre service cared for but not exaggerated, important prices but not for NY... you eat fan photos you say you were there .. once is enough!
I first ate at Buddakan in 2021 when there was limited seating due to the pandemic. We sat outside and the food and ambiance was impeccable. I have been wanting to go back for years now to have the full experience inside this beautiful restaurant and finally got the chance! It's not far from the Shubert theater and they serve dinner later than most so we had a wonderful meal after the show. Highly recommend! The vibe is like an upscale club ambiance with great music and low lights. The food is amazing and the service was on point.
Food, atmosphere and service are exceptional. My son is 26 and puts this on his wishlist every time he visits our NYC apartment. Always a treat.
Very good from start to finish, starters, mains and desserts all excellent! Amazing place. Make sure you book. Definitely go!
Beautiful interior - best part of the experience. Five of us were seated at a huge table in the middle of two very large parties without any space between. It was so crowded and loud. We were on top of each other. The wait staff did the best they could to keep up but they were stretched so thin the service was lacking. There were so many other tables in the restaurant where we could have been seated that would have been a better experience. The appetizers are much better than the main dishes. All good but nothing special. The fried rice was underwhelming. The scene and people is like going to a club. Lots of sparkly evening dresses taking selfies on the stairs- a sight to behold.
