This is my favorite East Village bar (since Grassroots Tavern across the street closed) However, I really wish you guys would go back to opening at 12:00pm like you used to! I would be there everyday if only you opened earlier.

The woman who attended us had such a bad attitude and ruined the experience of the bar (which seemed really cool) as it was our first time there. They also closed 20 minutes earlier than they say.

My friend and I came in and while we were deciding what to order for a drink we’re going to use the bathroom. The bartender pulled my friend aside and said we had to order first. While I was actively looking at the menu to figure out what to order for a drink. It just felt a bit pointed as we were the only two black women at the bar and we had witnessed other people use the bathroom prior to ordering a drink as well. If you are a black woman/care about the comfort of other black women I would spend you money elsewhere and skip over this place.
Agree with what everyone else said about the girl who bartends on Sundays being miserable. Can't wait for gentrification to get this place.

The Sunday bartender is so so lovely!!! Such a welcoming and generally wonderful environment! The darts and pool are the best! Also don’t sleep on that peppermint hot chocolate 💯😉

I found this place to be very fun, lively, and the robust Schoff cider lifted away centuries of stress from my bones. Everybody seems to be having a good time and I got the chance to be myself in the good old midnight. My friends think I look like Alucard, and it is fitting for the Fall. In this bar, I finally got the chance to rewind. The best looking lads and ladies presented themselves in this fine late evening. The drinks themselves are of top notch quality. I recommend the Schoff. It is good once in a while to unwind. But responsibility must return for most of our days. Once in a while is great for a while. Thank you McCabes, for a wonderful night. In addition, I received a complementary drink for the wonderful moment. Cheers!
Vegetarian options: All vegetarians can enjoy the best drinks the bar can offer. Everyone, regardless of food preference, can unwind in this great oasis. Alternatively, they do offer salmon, chips and mussels.
