Super cool location. The double burger is a bit too much burger mess. Two singles would work better. The shake was yum. Good thickness and flavor. Also, you get a tonne of fries, and the fries are great. Could use a bit more salt, but cooked crispy! The price, though. $50 for a burger, fries, and a shake without a happy ending is a bit too much.

I was very excited to try this burger, and was greatly disappointing and bland. Atmosphere was intriguing and inviting, music a tad too loud, but fun. But the burger itself was way too thick of a patty, medium is quite red, and there was absolutely no seasoning or salt, not even on the mushrooms. A double is a severe over abundance of meat. On top of that, the bun just fell apart and didn’t even hold any of it together, making it very messy. It was VERY pricey for a burger, I am sure due to the abundance of meat, but making them a more manageable size for a better price is way more desirable.

It’s all good here! I’ve only been to NYC a handful of times. Eaten here every time. The burgers are amazing. I would have posted a picture, but the camera didn’t get the first bite today. And it was too good to photograph, I had to straight woof it down. So so good. Of course the unmarked curtain and shabby decorations are cool. But the music is spot on too.

If you’re in midtown, absolutely work in some time to get a burger and shake here.

It's hokey and touristy, but a genuinely good burger and kind of fun. A decent place to bring visiting relatives for a 'hidden NY experience"

Burger Joint is a curious place, hidden behind some curtains in the Thompson Hotel, with music and decoration typical of a New York hamburger restaurant. The service is basic and tips stand out, the burgers are delicious. Although the prices are somewhat high, since you have to add tax and tips, the experience is worth it. Without a doubt, we recommend it and we would repeat.

An incredible experience. Inside a luxury hotel, you walk through red curtains and find yourself in a burger restaurant with graffitied walls and one of the best burgers in NYC.
