We ordered a burgers in here which were very expensive. We were very disappointed at the fish burger. It tasted like the fish you would put into Bangladeshi rice meal. With burger bread it's a weird combination. We hardly ate all of it and asked how this is a filet. We didn't get a discount even though the food was so bad.

Yoooooo this place is great. Smelled strongly of garlic as we walked up (nice). Got the double up and my partner got the bacon cheeseburger and we split some garlic fries. Decent price and it is a tad small but there were plenty of seats open. Highly recommend this place. Burger N Grill

Love this place. I come here for lunch all the time. They have fresh delicious pakistani food. They usually have biryani, pulao, kabobs chicken tikka and beans. Staff is very friendly. The food is comforting after a long workday.

Without Googling I didn't know to what extent this was related to THE Pakistan Tea House but it's A Pakistan House worth visiting. They've apparently rebranded to de-emphasize burgers, but more important, the $8 chicken curry combo lives up to Church Street standards. I might try something more exotic next time but I enjoyed this one, including the hints of nutmeg or something nutmeg-adjacent in the chick peas.

I decided to try this place after watching the eater video on Pakistan Tea House. They're under new management now, but hey, it's still desi food! My office is just two blocks away.. That made it easy for a weekday lunch. I got a hearty portion of rice and 3 veg curries- palak paneer, bhindi (okra) and chana dal for just $7, and a skewer of chicken kebab for another $2! That's such a good value for money: much better than the Pret-s or Nish Nush next door. The food is lightly spiced, unlike your run-of-the-mill Indian places. Although to some it might be a bit too light, and the dishes seemed to have less salt. Overall, given the affordable price and comfortable taste I think this is going to be one of my regular lunch spots. Another review mentioned their pink tea is good.. Can't wait to try that!!

This place is great! I've been working in Tribeca for 4 years, and disappointed by the lack of good-value lunch spots. This place (in the former location of Pakistani Tea House) has quickly become a weekly mainstay. The food is full of rich, complex flavor, and not too heavy or oily for weekday lunch. The Butter Chicken, Lamb Curry, and spinach are all especially good. The choices rotate by day - I was super impressed by a bitter melon dish once. Fantastic value as well - $8 for a generous plate of brown rice, a meat dish, and two vegetable dishes. And the staff is very friendly and grateful for your business. This and Nish Nush are pretty much all you need for lunch options in the neighborhood now. I'm really glad to have this great new place in my lunch rotation!

This place used to be Pakistani tea house and that had great Pakistani food. Now they have new owner and management. This is close to my work so I go there several times. The service is questionable and food is just alright. They give you good portions and have a variety of Pakistani veggie dishes and curries to choose from. They also have butter chicken available for those interested and make fresh nans. The thing that keeps bringing me back here is their Kashmiri chai aka pink tea, if you haven't had that, you are missing out big time! You seriously get hooked to it.

Burger N Grill used to be the Pakistani Tea House and seems to be under new management. While the name suggests that it is a burger joint and the place indeed sells burgers, this is a new entrant to a street--Church Street--that previously had a lot of Desi eateries. Like Sheezan, the other takeout joint, and the many more ones that closed, there are two steam tables. The steam table on the right has various Indian/Pakistani dishes. The one on the left occasionally has desserts and sliced fruits, sometimes snacks. Referring mainly to the right table here forth, there are generally several different vegetable dishes, including curries, and several meat entrees to choose from. The vegetable offerings change daily, but there is always a chickpea or a lentil option. With the meat, I usually see keema (a meat skewer without the meat). You can get a vegetable option for three different dishes and rice (or roti) for $6.50 and a meat option for $8 (one meat and two vegetable options). I usually stick with the vegetarian option. There is free water for those who want to sit down and eat. The food is great, with great hearty portions. The atmosphere may be a little disinviting--the light is dim. Because the doors are wide open during the summer, it can get a little stuffy.

Several years ago there was a Pakistan Tea House at this location with really great desi food. Then it closed down, not sure when. Yesterday I happened to be passing by this very location and alas, it was there again under the very long name "Burger N Grill in Pakistan Tea House." I looked at the menu cards outside and walked in to test the place even though I was not very hungry. This is cafeteria style where you order the food at the counter. Most of the food is pre-prepared on the steam table. I ordered the samosa with chick peas for $3.50, a very reasonable price for what I got. The chick pea was actually the curry or Chana masala, not plain boiled chick peas I've gotten at some places when ordering samosa chaat. The chickpeas were vey flavorful as was the samosa. The service was very friendly. We were served a complimentary cup of a pinkish drink which tasted like a pleasantly flavored milk. Apparently it is a Ramadan tradition. There were 4 or 5 tables in the place, so it may get tight during lunch or dinner (I stopped in around 9 PM). At one of the tables was a Pakistani man who was very chatty with the guy behind the counter (in Urdu) then struck up a conversation with me (in English) to tell me about the tradition of the complimentary milky drink. He also told me that the original Pakistan Tea House had changed hands a couple of times, then closed and that this version opened up within the last month or so. In addition to Indian fare, the menu lists typical American fare like bagels and tuna sandwich. Overall I was satisfied with my little snack and will return to try a full meal.
