Lunch on MealPal was extra rewarding thanks to the Spicy Chicken Rice Noodle! Burp Bowl Cafe knows how to bring the heat – the savory chili oil and warm chicken with fresh bok choy was seriously comforting.

$1.00 cash for to go box, $1.09 card for to go box, unfriendly Chinese woman in the store, broth is too spicy and tingly although I have asked for mild spiciness. I hate when the small business not providing the basic service to customers.

Great food! Fair prices. I love the taste and the spices. Solid 5 stars no complaints whatsoever. Would recommend absolutely. Try their fried rice and put some spicy sauce they have at their tables... absolute gem

The cashier charged me $1 for each to go box! This is absurd. Ordered dine in - spicy chicken fried rice and beef noodle soup. Both were prepared in less than 60second. The fried rice is worse than the frozen fried rice from Costco. The noodles tasted worse than instant noodles.
No customer service but still charged tips upfront!

The food/products themselves are just average. Nothing special, but they serve their purpose.
However, I feel compelled to warn potential customers about an ongoing, serious issue with the street cleaner who seems to be contracted for this area.
This man is extremely aggressive towards drivers. He constantly harasses those who try to temporarily park and jump in to pick up ordered food or just for a moment to pop into the shop.
Supraisingly, he neither have respect for traffic rules. This is particularly bad for drivers trying to make a left turn into or near the parking area. He stands directly in the left-turn lane while sweeping—for several light cycles blocking traffic. He seems to believe he has priority over the dedicated turning line and cars. He disrespectfuly engaiging drivers turning left while he is standing there pretending to still clean. Time to time as I observed but still, it is crazy and makes some just leave which may hurt the business(es). Since it may be a building maitnance guy maybe thebstore management is not even aware...
This behavior is unacceptable, dangerous, and makes accessing the store a highly stressful experience. Management should address this issue with the cleaning service immediately.

Their service is great; they put eggshells in the eggs for you to eat together, causing your gums to bleed.

Delicious, no frills. I used to come here regularly when I lived next to it, and I just returned years later. The main chef apparently returned to China ~1 year ago, but the dishes were just as I remembered.
I see they've expanded into other locations, good for them. This location is the original.

As authentic and hole in the wall as it gets, and as tasty as it gets. My friend took me here twice, once in 2018 and once in 2023, and I am so happy to have witnessed this establishment survive through the pandemic because it absolutely deserves it. The place barely had spaces so we had to wait until someone left, but luckily people would be in and out anyway, just like they would back in China. Once again, the vibes were screaming China in all manners not only from the store, but also from the customers.
Every dish I have had was a hit. The chicken with chili sauce had very authentic chili sauce and lots of pieces of chicken and was just amazing. I don't really have any words to describe it because it was just authentically good, if that makes sense. The noodles were great as well with a lot of flavor, and tasted just like what I would have when I was in China. Again, I don't know how else to describe how good it was. One really needs to try it to know what I mean.
With so many restaurants in New York, I may still choose to come back here because it's economical and has quality food, both of which probably factors allowing this establishment to survive through the pandemic. Highly recommend!
