We used to live around the corner from Buttercup and we went there all the time. Now we only get to have their cupcakes when we are in the city. Just like many things, the price of the cupcakes has gone up and the size seems to be smaller than they were before. Most of the flavors were moist and tasty (the purple Ube cupcakes was a standout), and the frosting--particularly the cream cheese based ones--are yummy, but it felt really expensive.
We bought a slice of your lemon Bundt cake & a chocolate/ pb cupcake. I loved my cupcake! My husband said the lemon Bundt cake was fantastic! He said it was the best lemon Bundt cake he'd ever had!! Thank you!!
I’ve been living near Buttercup Bake Shop for the last year, and it has truly been my go to for cupcakes, cake, brownies, etc. They’re always so fresh and loaded with butter (a necessity, am I right?). I even crossed paths with the owner’s father one night. He was dropping something off. He was super sweet (no pun intended) and we ended up having a great conversation. He told me how his son is a perfectionist and how he’s only interested in using actual butter, as well...
