This is my local coffee spot and I find myself there nearly every day. I enjoy their coffee, iced teas, and quick bites immensely! The staff is friendly, even when things get busy, especially over the weekend. Grateful to have this place in the neighborhood!

I was in on Tuesday morning (4/8) around 10am and WOW I am beyond impressed with the level of professionalism and kindness that my baristas gave me. They were pleasant, respectful, and accommodated my every need. The woman on the bar introduced herself to me and asked me my name, which was a personal touch I don’t often receive at coffee shops. Though we just met, I felt like I’d known her for years. We connected over many topics and both baristas provided me with excellent service, but this barista at the bar (who introduced herself as lauren) really made me feel like I want to come back to this shop. There’s lots of coffee shops out there and I want to come back to Buunni specifically because of the excellent customer service I received at the Inwood location on Tuesday! Thank you so much again to the amazing staff working that morning. See you again soon💜

I love coming in to this location, because aside from the great buunni offerings, the staff is always friendly and gives excellent service. However, I was in the cafe yesterday and I witnessed one of the baristas (lauren i think?) be yelled at and disrespected by a customer. This employee is always nothing but kind to me and they handled this situation as best as they could. I hope that customer is banned from this location because these baristas do no deserve this treatment!

I was there this past Sunday when a woman antagonized an employee and held up the line for almost 20 minutes. I was shocked by the cool headedness of the barista and the neighborhood rallying around her to try and protect her against abusive customer behavior. Very cool people, very cool neighborhood, and yummy drinks 🙂↕️

My partner already took the time out to write his review. And now I have to take the time out of my day to write a review and it’s not a good one. I should only be taking the time out of my day to write good reviews to agree with the motto that the café goes by. Which is open arms and warm welcomes. However, that was not the case today. I go there almost every Sunday and order the same exact thing a chai iced latte with whole milk now today my chai latte was made wrong due to the way it tasted and I was not mad about it being wrongly made. I just requested that it be made again as I feel like as a customer I am entitled to request for something to be made. Especially it was not really touched so that I can enjoy what I paid for. After dealing with an enormous amount of attitude from the barista, I finally was able to sit down and enjoy my chaiice latte. After my partner and I were finished with our drinks, we then walked out, and as we were walking out, the barista took it upon herself to go all the way to the front of the counter when she was in the back to shout out ma’am multiple times until I finally turned around and realized she was talking to me, and when I gave her eye contact, she then went ahead and responded. I will never be serving you again when you come here. So of course I gave her the same kind of behavior. She gave to me making it now a disruptive café since she decided to still say things as we were leaving. I repeatedly kept telling her that it’s not how you treat your customers and that I am not sure why you are still bothering me when the situation of my chai latte being made incorrectly was fixed. This barista seems to be on multiple Google reviews for the tardiness and poor customer service. And nothing needs to be made up as the cameras will show how she rushed to the front of the counter to make sure she told us something before leaving. I also took a video and started recording as she now tried to insult the clothing that my partner was wearing, which had nothing to do with wanting a drink remade. I then said a manager needs to be here to defuse the situation as it was not getting anywhere and she started flaunting that she was close friends with the owner and will call the owner herself, so I then told her to please call the owner because I no longer feel comfortable speaking to you. After a long line of customers now waiting, I find just decided to order something else and she walked off to the back telling the other bar so that she had to make the drink because she was no longer making drinks for me. leaving a long line behind. this was a café. I enjoy going to on my days off and made it part of my routine. However, I will never let a café like that. Take any of my money to be treated that way..

I come here every Sunday with my girlfriend. Who order the same thing every time, iced chai latte with whole milk. Today they put oat milk rather than whole milk and my girlfriend went to the barista (Spanish light skin) to notify them that the chai tasted different and sour from all the last times she’s ordered it. The barista responded well if you get this all the time then the taste should always be the same. I said it’s not the same and can you please fix it. Barista said well this is oat milk that’s why and I responded ok so you mind making it with whole milk as that is how I get every Sunday. She remade it and when I walked to the garbage she followed and said next time when you order be nicer or I won’t fix it and walked back behind the counter. That was such an upsetting comment as mistakes are bound to happen and wasn’t upset about it being made wrong just wanted it the right way. That barista needs a lot more training on customer service as that is no way to respond to customers that make it part their routine to come to this cafe and enjoy their Sunday. I will not bring coming back here thanks to the barista because now if something goes wrong again with my drink I won’t trust it’ll be made safely.

The only reason why I’m giving it one star is because one of the baristas , not the one who took my order was insanely rude. Clearly I’m on my phone and got distracted , but by her actions you would think I was holding up the line ( mind you there was nobody behind me) so she waves her hand in my face to get my attention when a simple hey, can I take your order woulda sufficed. Clearly she and the one who took my order found it funny … but hey to each their own… this staff is hit or miss.. some are nice and some are plain weird… that’s why I prefer the location in 183rd… much nicer … 😬😬😬😬 it really be your own people.
There was a comedy show, "Don't Tell Comedy." I brought my wife here for date night. It was a great experience! Looking forward to another one.

I wish they had staff that was just as nice to the people of color as they were to white costumers. Also, they’re dishonest. I placed an order on toogoodtogo that should've totaled $15 and they barely gave $10 worth. First and last time I'm going.

The weekend service is awful, I purchased my order on Saturday and Sunday with no customer service. cashier seems to have an attitude when I place my order. She didn't listen to what I ordered . Got upset when I pointed it out. I am a new customer who loves your coffee. I was greeted with excellent customer service on Monday thru Friday. But ,if this weekend service is how I will be treated in the future, I will purchase my coffee elsewhere .
