Great beer selection. Food was tasty. Maybe a few too many dishes with fries. Excellent service for our large group.
Great choice of beer.
Mussel and burger need improvement.

The crowded entrance convinced me this place was worth trying. Their menu combines good taste with enjoyment. Their kitchen execution and service standards impressed us. This restaurant balances appearance with hospitality. Hearty endorsement of this place.

The restaurant delivers on both food and feeling. The food preparation and dining atmosphere worked well. Personnel display uncommon helpfulness. This restaurant enjoys a favorable location. Absolute recommendation.

Authentic Belgian food—and beer! The service was great. Location is perfect for pre-theater supper.
Excellent selection of Belgian beers. Bartemder was fantastic great stop for a beer.
We came here before a show at Town Hall, which is directly next door, because we read many positive reviews mentioning the delicious moulles frites. Two of us ordered the meniere moulles frites to share ($35) and, sadly, we were very disappointed. The fries were great, but the mussels were about the size of your thumbnail, very dry, and the broth had no taste. There were a lot of them and we wound up leaving more than half of the steamer pot full because we didn't want to waste the calories. We went next door and had the most delicious oysters and drinks at the Mermaid Oyster Bar. I highly recommend you choose that wonderful place over BXL. I will also say that our drinks at BXL were just OK- dirty vodka martini and Aperol spritz. Nothing special. BXL is a great place to go late night for fries, wings, and tap beer (according to the bartender at Mermaid Oyster Bar).
Great place ! Unfortunately they ran out of 'Kriek'. The very beer I came to mid town for 😪

Been here 10 years. Meet all kinds of people and the bartenders will take care of you. French beer on tap is potent. Will always be my go to here.

BXL is a go-to place for all occasions. It’s located in midtown Manhattan and easy to commute. We are the regulars here and we enjoy French-Belgian cuisine. We order steak frites which they serve with fries and salad. Their salad dressing is my favorite. We also order cheese balls and steak sandwich which is so juicy and served with caramelized onions. Their salad dressing staff is very attentive and friendly. They are happy to accommodate us with any requests.

Best fries of my life. Very close to Broadway and a favorite of locals. Perfect for a quick dinner after a matinee.
Not one moment felt rushed or overlooked. Tasty dishes complemented by affordable prices and exceptional staff attention. All dishes demonstrated good cooking techniques. I enjoyed the complete experience! Delicious cuisine & nice setting.

Yummy mussels and truffle croquettes. Wish the mussels were cooked in the tomato basil longer to absorb the flavor. Truffle croquettes were like fried truffle cheese.

We were going to a show at the Town Hall, so the location was superb! This is not a large restaurant, so it was crowded on a weeknight at dinner time.Having a reservation, we were seated immediately. Service was quick and friendly. I loved the energy of this place! We ordered the Bitterballen appetizer (excellent!) and mussels - absolutely perfect. There was a great beer selection. I would come back in a heartbeat!
