The mussels are fantastic and the accompanying fries are just right. Great variety of broth and the portions are huge. Great service. Great cocktails. 10/10 recommend

Lo recordaré toda la vida. La cena de fin de año y luego el acceso restringido en la bajada de la bola en Times square del restaurante fue algo inolvidable. La comida estuvo riquísima y los trabajadores encantadores. Recomendable 100%

Great atmosphere, service and food. BXL is one of my favorite public houses in the neighborhood. A pleasant respite from the business of the theater district.

cozy bar/ restaurant, great selection of Belgian beers. Great burgers , mussels, fries and really good coffee. Busy but friendly staff. Close to Times Square. It is our go to midtown spot. .

A good time is had by all with the volume to prove it. Sure, it can be a bit "energetic" for a Thursday night. It's a small price to pay for a big taste of Belgian cuisine, from apps to dessert to beers on tap, BXL can't be beaten even with the biggest of sticks. Must stops on the menu: Boulettes de Viande, Carbonade Flamande, the bottomless mussels and the a dynamite Américain Préparé. For those with an Italian appetite, plenty of pasta choices too.

The food is delicious, and absolutely worth it, especially for anyone that doesn't mind the lack of peace and quiet.

It's a fun place with a long bat that was very crowded when we arrived for pre-theater dinner. Noise level was very high. Service for dinner friendly. Pub food.

It wasn't bad. It wasn't great. Don't know what I was expecting but I assumed the main entrees would be more unique. It was sandwiches, burgers and Italian style food options. I got the meatballs because it said Brussel style meatballs. 3 meatballs on a plate with fries seemed more like an Italian app with a bar fries side. The cuvée amber beer was as advertised and great.

After visiting Antwerp, Belgium, Vincent from Brasserie den Antigoon told me to visit a bar in New York City called BXL Café. So when I got back home, I made it a point to go. BXL Café has such a great vibe. It’s got that cool dive bar feel but with the charm and energy of a real Belgian spot. The space feels cozy and laid-back, the kind of place where you can just relax and hang out for a while without feeling rushed.

We came for the Monday night unlimited mussels special, which they also do on Sundays, and it did not disappoint. The special was $40 and worth every penny. The food was really good, and the mussels just kept coming. The beers were just as impressive. I had a few that brought me right back to Belgium, the same kind of flavors and vibe I got when I visited Brasserie den Antigoon in Antwerp.

The staff here made the whole experience even better. I met one of the managers and the bartender, and they were both awesome. Super friendly, easygoing, and full of laughs. It was one of those nights where you just sit back, have a good drink, laugh a lot, and forget about the stress of the day. I’ll definitely be back. 🍻🇧🇪

They charged us for a meal we didn’t get!’I asked for a beyond burger with cheese and they were out so I ordered the gnocchi. They not only charged us for the burger they charged us for the cheese as well!. Someone else in my party paid for the bill so they didn’t look at the receipt until they got home. I tried calling the number on the receipt and it’s a phone number to no where!

We love BXL. The burgers are great and the Stella is always perfect temperature and never flat. It's a decent value in the heart of the theater district. We wish it wasn't so loud, but we were seated at a good table so we could hear each other and should not gripe. We also love the ambiance I.e., the decor is charming. It reminds us of “old New York” because it has so much character.
