Went for brunch on Sunday afternoon. Quiet and peacful. The moules frites were amazing.... The croque madame was perfect ratio of bread to ham to cheese...and the egg on top made it perfect.
Loved this place and will absolutely be coming back again. Perfect for casual dates or hangouts with friends
Lovely Belgian spot with delicious takes on Belgian classics. Awesome service and atmosphere too!
Nice place, wonderful service, terrible food! I lived in Brussels for two years and this restaurant would not pass muster there. Very disappointed; was really looking forward to it.
We have been here numerous times and always have a great experience. Food service and ambiance is always consistent. They accommodated a party of 11 and everyone enjoyed the experience.
My lunch was particularly delicious. I had the fresh mixed salad and the moules frite Thaillandaise. The value as a prixe fixe was well priced and deliciously prepared.
Just wonderfull and Sarah our waitresss was one of the best along with Jeremy the new manager. Can't wait to be back
The house cocktail was yummy and my husband and I both loved the steak frites- perfectly cooked and delicious. The service was friendly and felt personal. We will definitely be back
We had mussels and fries both very good with lots of options the onion soup was excellent and the butter meatballs very tasty the waffles and ice cream was also excellent
Belgian stew is delicious. I've had this stew in Belgium before, and I might say this is as good, if not better!

Rare and wonderful place for great variety of Belgian beer (~8 kinds on tap and many more in bottles/ cans), ~6 styles of mussels, plus hearty steak frites, etc. in a laidback atmosphere with attentive and friendly service.
Prices are not cheap, but an evening at BXL is like an evening in Europe without having to fly there!
Beers are about $14, 2 lbs of mussels cost $28. They have an all you can eat mussel special on Sunday and Monday that I have made a mental note to go back for sometime — Yum!
This time I had my mussels marinière style, with white wine and shallots, which was delicious and light. Upon request, they brought some delicious baguette to soak into the broth.
Last time I had the mussels grande-mère style with cream and bacon, which was equally delicious, but definitely more filling.
My partner had the steak frites, which was definitely a nice portion, and cooked to perfection.
We were tempted by the waffle for dessert, but just did not have the room, especially after a Duvel or two!
This place is truly a neighborhood gem. I highly recommend going and exploring the delights of Belgian food in this gentle and enjoyable atmosphere.
