An alphabet city icon and some of the best breakfast eats in NYC, in my opinion. All of their egg sandwiches are out of this world, and they are really good at baking. They also play some really cool vinyl jams day and have a great vibe

Small, but efficient and a good sandwich. I love that they play vinyl along with the service.

Ordered pickup from here weeks back around 1pm and it was a BIG mess for a $20 breakfast sandwhich.Starting off with scrambled eggs that came 50% raw. The dampness from the runny egg whites soaked through the perfect sourdough bread which couldnt hold the sando together bec of that. The sausage and the added avocado were cornered in diff areas. The sausage was more hockey puck shaped so it fell out the other end as soon as I tried to take a bite. Same with the avocado. Shouldve been sliced and evenly distributed. Its a shame because the flavors were there, high quality ingredients were there but it was impossible to eat a broken raw egg wet sandwhich as a unit without a spoon. Unfortunately went hungry during my lunch break.

My friend had been telling me about this place for months. It's his favorite breakfast sandwich spot.I went and got the mushroom and egg sandwich. I thought it was underwhelming. The eggs were overcooked and the shrooms didn't have much flavor. I know everyone goes for the chorizo and meat options so maybe the mushroom sandwich isn't the thing to go for here. All that being said, the bread was amazing.I also got a Nutella pastry that was really good. So was the oatmilk latte. Before you go just know it gets tight in there. Small space.I'll come back and get something else.

We’ve been coming to C&B for years, and they never disappoint! Our favorites are the egg and cheese sandwich, cilbir (my personal fave), and eggs and curry. Not to mention the pastries are to die for. Keep up the good work, C&B!

love you guys but the $14 kale salad was not it. it really needs new accoutrements—the canned pear is pretty weird :(

I wish they had some indoor seating and service because that would just elevate everything. The Cilbir was good, but I think it would be better served in a larger bowl so you can really dip the bread in there. The chorizo sandwich was perfectly flavorful with a hint of spice. Their selection of pastries isn’t to be missed.

Nice local spot right by Tompkins's, great place for a breakfast in the morning on weekends, gets pretty busy so come early if you don't want to wait. Nomz: My go to is the menemen with a side of avocado. It is a beautiful mix of eggs, tomatoes, peppers and spices that make it a magical bite - has a little kick to it - good sized portion. Nice touch to the side of avocado they add lime and a little olive oil maybe? Pastries: can't go wrong with any obviously, but I have a weak spot for the chocolate croissant Drinks: Bottled orange juice is my go to Service: Nice cashier, also calls out the orders after, bustling place. Ambiance: Inside are two little interconnected rooms. On the right there is a line to order your food and on the left you can see the pastries available, there's a record player spinning with some beats and a small waiting area with the coffee and fridge. Overall, really cool vibes place. Small covered area outside to sit down or stand to eat - with a table or two on the sidewalk. Nope or Dope: Dope, really yummy place I can't get enough of. Will come back!

Came to get breakfast with friends. They have a twist on the normal breakfast sandwich. But either way it is delicious! Even the pastries are delicious, especially when they just came out the over. The little cafe itself is absolutely adorable! It's a small area but they still dress it up nice and super cute. Plus the staff is nice and sweet.

My favorite egg & cheese in the city--by far! The bread is freshly baked and still warm when you get your sandwich. The eggs and cheese somehow melt together and make the most delicious sandwich!
