The space combines beauty and comfort perfectly. This restaurant impressed completely. Personnel excelled, being pleasant and consistently checking if we needed anything. You experience great care in a relaxed environment. I value this restaurant and will come back soon.

How many great meals did I miss by waiting so long? Staff was extremely sweet and helpful in every way possible!!! The taste profiles here are perfect. The decor, the servers, and the kitchen all excel. I find myself eating here regularly.

The online complaints don't match the care I experienced here. Under any circumstances, the food quality stays excellent. The service was precise and thoughtful. The food is so good, and the portions are huge too. This spot is AMAZING!

I keep coming back for lunch. They deliver tasty food quickly. The quality of service defined the experience. The menu used clear language. This spot requires your personal evaluation.

This spot turns ordinary ingredients into special meals. The food is consistently good and the service always pleases. Works nicely for unplanned dinners or eating alone. Workers are exceptionally nice and flexible, with quick food delivery. This restaurant should continue operating.

Traditional Viennese cafe, all the names of the dishes are in German, as they are originally in Austria. Very nice.

We waited on line, then were seated in a crowded room. The room is pretty, but seating is tight and tables are small. We each ordered a dessert and something to drink. I asked if both iced teas were caffeine-free, and was told yes. That was wrong, so my iced tea had to be switched. My dessert, the klimtorte, looked much better than it tasted. In fact, it was essentially tasteless. My tea was tasty, but unfortunately it spilled all over the table and me, and was not replaced. That’s because, after a total of a half hour, the check was presented and we were encouraged to leave. Even though I was soaking wet. I guess this is a place to soak tourists - we New Yorkers will not be back.

A very nice quant restaurant. Don't wait for the upstairs, go to the basement and witness a true European feel. It's cozy, and tight, but wonderful. The food is excellent and not badly priced. It is NYC! But be prepared to wait in any instance. We would go back just for the food. The museum is wonderful as well.

At the risk of disclosing my age, I have been a patron of this place since it opened. Never fond of the service kept coming back because there is nothing else in the area. On this last visit on January 2023, I was taken aback by a waiter who took his time to bring the menu, never greeted me at all, as he did to both customers seated on either side.
After paying cash, brought back loose bills and change (without a holder) that he plopped on the table without saying thank you, with no receipt- to add insult to his lack of manners, he shortchanged me.
It seems he mistook me for a naive elderly tourist. Noticing I was missing money I had to call the manager to explain that the change was incorrect.
Apparently arithmetic is not a requirement to work there, but finally they realized I was owed money; but what they really owed me was an apology for having a server that chooses who amongst his customers will be his mark.

An authentic... Austro-American experience. The decor is very nice, and the cakes/coffee options make you feel like you're in Vienna. However, having your plate taken away as soon as you finish despite it not being busy at all, and the default/middle tip option of 22% (!) are there to remind you that you're definitely not there to lay back and enjoy a slice of Austrian relaxation. Very funny/sad experience, depending on your point of view.

We went to the basement cafe to avoid the long line upstairs at the normal cafe. There was no line but the waiters told my mom and me to wait on a bench ten feet from the cafe entrance. All of the waiters forgot about us and about ten min later a couple asked for a table for two and the waiters tried to seat them right away! I went up and told them we’d been waiting where they told us to and the table was ours. The waiters all seemed confused, didn’t recognize us from the few minutes before, and tried to tell us we had to wait again. The guy from the couple even tried to yell at me though the woman understood what was going on. After that, the table we were at forced us to have woman hacking and coughing next to us our entire meal and talking about how sick she’s been all week. The food was good. Soup is delicious but ridiculously overpriced. The waitress barely bothered to stop to take our order or give us the receipt. Plus she told us she’d bring extra silverware since we split a dish and she didn’t bring the extra set out. Keep in mind there are very few tables in this cafe and plenty of waiters. Will order to go next time to avoid the germ-ridden customers and poor service, when I feel like spending $50 for a soup and entree.

Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp at museum entrance and elevator to basement.
