There are several branches in New York, but I deliberately visited the Lower East Side branch. It has a nice small atmosphere and the coffee tastes rich and flavorful. There is no space to sit and eat, but you can drink it while sitting on the bench outside the store!

Love Grumpy coffee, they have the best coffee in NYC. Most of their new locations like this one only have enough space for taking out but that doesn't matter they still have the most aromatic and tastiest coffee. I regularly buy their Honduras roast (red catuai). The baristas in that location are very friendly and more than once gave my some useful answers to questions I had about the area or where to get stuff as I am not a local.

The caucasian male barista in 20-30's gets really angry or "grumpy" when you leave no tips. I am not visiting here again

I had the most delicious cappuccino on my 4th day in New York. I happened to stop by before a cruise, but I'll definitely go again if I'm ever in the area.
You can see squirrels up close at a nearby park. While drinking at a cafe.

I usually LOVE Cafe Grumpy [I frequent the Grand Central Location] but I stopped at this one today for an Oat Chai Latte and was basically given a cup of Luke warm Oat Milk. I asked the batista to put more Chai in and she asked if I wanted to double the amount and I consented. DISGUSTING. It was so bad not even 4 sugar packets could help it 😫 I ended up tossing the entire thing after 5 sips. Idk if the cafe needs to choose a better Chai brand, change the recipe they use or hire a different batista [it was lukewarm??] but this experience was Not it.

Uneven.
Quality of coffee depends on which barista is working. I come here often and from now on will only purchase when someone I already know making the coffee.
My "cappuccino" this morning wasn't even a latte, it was warm milk with flavorless coloring. It was a very bad day for a person who loves coffee to start the day.

In a delightful café, the friendly barista welcomed me with a bright smile. While the interior lacked seating, there was a lone bench outside. Fortunately, a spacious park with ample seating was just across the street. It was a perfect way to unwind, enjoying my beverage and pastry. The park, adorned with tall trees, featured jungle gyms for children to play on, offering enjoyment for both adults and kids.
I opted for a Honey Oat Latte and a delectable blueberry scone, which made for the perfect morning boost to kickstart my day.

The barista here on Sunday morning made some derogatory comments to another customer about the Asian grandmas who regularly congregate to dance in the park across the street. I am Asian American, I got coffee here and was sitting/working in the corner of the shop when he said this. It was deeply off putting. You are a shop in a historic neighborhood. Respect its residents.
