It WAS a classic NoLita fave. Excellent coffee. Great vibes, typically a cool international crowd. Solid food. My issue is the service has become very overbearing perhaps in their effort to turn tables over. Arrogant servers hound you to order quickly and clear your plate before you finish chewing your last bite. Could be a little more relaxed here. If they improved their service I’d dine her a lot more.
We used to come to this place all the time when we lived in New York. Came back to visit and the food has definitely gone downhill. The mocha was not as on point as it used to be, orange olive dish was too salty, baked eggs were bland; service was fine but not friendly, and the vibe was mostly empty. Admittedly it was a Thursday morning rather than a weekend but unfortunately I don’t think we’ll be coming back.
