Good old school full service deli. Salads, sandwiches, grill, eggs. Nice team, hard workers.. Reasonably priced. Gladly recommend.

We had reservations and our table seating had a wait still. It also took one full hour before we were served with entres. I have been here for brunch which I love. I just felt the dinner experience was not the same due to the delays.

Love Lafayette BUT extremely disappointed today. I have made a reservation, confirmed on OpenTable. When my party arrived, they said there was no record of my reservation and they were not seated. Quite embarrassing! I got there and showed them the reservation, we were seated but no acknowledgment of the issue nor apology for the confusion. Food is always good but things like this ruin the experience.

I have been to Lafayette many times, and have never been disappointed. The food is good, the service is excellent and it's a lovely looking restaurant. Can't ask for more.
The waiter made the experience so delightful!! The service he provided was the best we have ever experienced in any restaurant we have dined at for brunch in NYC. Next time we go, ( which is today) we will be sure to ask what his name is.
A great place and a great experience truly very enjoyable, would highly recommend anyone spend Thanksgiving there. It was never crowded enough to feel chaotic, the staff were always very attentive, and the dishes were well portion and absolutely delicious as well as being perfectly filling. Would recommend anybody go there for the Thanksgiving experience. 
Unfriendly staff is the main reason for the bad review. A lot of staff and all pretty disinterested in guests but rather more into themselves. Food was fairly ok and the drinks as well. It was pretty empty so they could have gone an extra mile, since they were so many.
Overpriced for nothing. Coffee $5.50 for mini cup (couple of sips) no refills ! What a joke. You can't order pastry from the cafe. Salads are plain with one or two ingredients. Again over $23 for plain lettuce. We had beef Tatar, nothing special $37 way overpriced.
I love it here—staff is amazing, food is always on point, the bar is stunning and it's perfect for almost any occasion. I used to go at least once a week but moved to the west coast—when I moved back it was the first place I went. Do not hesitate to book a table—they do it right.

Attentive service, delicious food and good cocktails. I ordered a burger. Delicious! The fries were addictive. The fettuccini is also quite savory. I enjoyed my salad. The penicillin cocktails are top notch. I did try the rolly (round) croissant. It was good, but not worth the $10. To skip the lines, go at night.

Waitress was incredibly rude! Was impossible to get her attention to place and order! She took our drinks before we were done and asked us to pay 3 times despite that we had not finished eating or drinking. I've never had such a bad service experience at a high end restaurant until now!

I was there to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday and received great service throughout the evening. Drinks were excellent, the food was delicious (Moules Frites were some of the best I've ever had including the most perfect fries!), and the ambiance was lively and fun. Just what we wanted for our celebration! Will come back again.
Absolutely perfect service—there when needed or anticipated, but left us to chat and relax. The food—I'd rank it, especially dessert, as one of the best meals I've had.
