I took my daughter for a “fancy lunch” and we had the best time. Our server was attentive and kind and helped create a memorable experience. We sat outside, so there was an average level of street noise, but the outdoor seating and coverings are great. Our food (steak frites and crème brûlée) was fantastic, and the frites were some of the best I've had.
I want first to praise the service at Cafe Luxembourg. Our main servers and the maitre d' both enquired and acted on our request to complete our service at a specific time for our next appointment. And the service itself was attentive and timely. Just excellence all around. The food met the usual high standard of Cafe Luxembourg. The gazpacho was superb, especially the dollop of avocado. Great French bistro, with the charm, service was fantastic and food really good. Lovely setting for that french, European flair. Croque Monsieur fabulous! Special ice cream flavor of pecan-butterscotch wonderful! Lots of menu choices, so will be back!
