I should have just left. The menu says it has a grassfed steak and a wagyu burger. When I asked the staff they didn't know. The hostess went into the back and found out they only use 100% grain fed usda beef. I had waited too long to eat and was so hungry so it's on me for not just leaving to find somewhere else. I didn't have a set server, I sat there forever with noone taking my order after I asked about the beef. 3 different people casually came by but didn't take my order. I had to flag someone down. They didn't bring me any bread starter. I decide to try the wagyu burger hoping for the best. It was abysmal. Zero seasoning on the meat, no spread of any kind. Just dry flavorless chuck. It tasted like gamey road kill. On the first bite I should have sent it back but again.... I was so hungry. It was hard to get through it. I regretted every bite. I was washing down every bite with a sip of wine.
I'm also not sure why this place is always filled with teenagers. I was at another location once that was the same.
It's like an Italian Applebee's I guess. You get what you get.

What a disappointment. After being a regular at their Madison Ave location I was taken for a disappointing ride at this place. Service was aloof and borderline dismissive. However the food was the principal disappointment. Poorly prepared and presented dishes that filled me with regret and frustration. From the starter to dessert it all was barely edible.

Serafina on 3rd Avenue at 84th Street is our new kitchen away from home. The menu is varied and every dish is excellent. The pizzas are among the best in NYC. The staff is efficient and congenial. The manager is lovely and helpful. Unlike most restaurants in Manhattan, the staff remembers you and is gracious. You sense they would enjoy seeing you come back. Pricing of restaurant fare following Covid has been extreme. Only a few have restrained the urge to raise prices three to four times over 2 years. Serafina is in that category. Serafina uses OpenTable for reservations.

My wife and I shared 3 appetizers. All 3 were tasty. We changed tables at the start due to them putting a larger group right next to us when the restaurant was less than half full. We have eaten here 3 x and the seating can be a bit of an issue. We wound up with a nice table in the corner and the server was gracious but you would prefer they do a better job of seating their guest. It detracts from a place that serves good Italian food in a nice atmosphere with reasonable prices.

I sent my parents and kids here to eat. They hated every single thing they had. Pizza - awful. Chicken Milanese was over cooked. Penna a al vodka was dry. Totally overpriced and service was terrible to boot.

Food was below average. How do you get ravioli wrong I’ll never know.. service was inattentive from the original bartender. Unfriendly and hard to get his attention. Then I was passed off to another person.. II was literally starving and had to drive home so I ate it.. but not worth it..

Victoria, was very accommodating with our Reservation. I had requested a particular table and it was no problem. I had made it earlier last minute and she was lovely again accomidating us with the requested table. When we sat down the vibe was more family oriented a bit noisey. But that toned down and the vibe changed to less children shortly after. Our service was good the first half but as the place got busier we didn't see much him. We had to keep asking the bus boy for things. They seemed short staff. But when he came he was pleasant and met the need. The food was served hot and we really enjoyed. However, the one dish, Ceasor salad with salmon and chicken was not a generous amount, considering the $$ the bowls could be larger. But the fish and chicken were excellent. All of our dishes ,we were party of six, overall was really good. We had a round of special drinks which were tastey and generous. I would recommend this place on many levels, ambiance, quality and value. The service just needs to be tweaked.
